Happy labor day, Philippines! I can’t believe I slept all day.. LOL. πŸ™‚
As we greet another month, let me share with you the things that I thoroughly enjoyed using last month. April went by so fast probably because I was a complete bum at home but whatever the reason is, I plan to savor every bit of May before school starts again. Let’s start!
Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Cream
(Read review HERE)
I’ve been using this since early February and I have nothing but pure love for this BB cream. It offers light to medium coverage and yields a dewy finish. Despite putting on layer after layer of this BB cream, it still feels rather light on the skin. It has a decent staying power although a few blotting and retouches would still be needed especially during this hot summer season.
EOS Flower Series in Blue
(Read review HERE)

I hate to say this but d*mn I look good in blue lenses! LOL! It was really unexpected.. I thought I would look weird with this gorgeous detailed pair but of course I was wrong. If you’ve seen me more than once during an event last April, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been wearing this pair a lot. And that’s because this pair looks great even with minimal makeup! The color looks subtle when worn but as the same time, it remains to be interesting.
Etude House Eraser Show Line Remover Stick
(Read review HERE)

This has got to be my best find for the month of April – there’s no doubt about it. I usually have problems trying to create the perfect (symmetric) winged liner look. And as I adjust it little by little trying to balance the tail of the liner in both eyes, I often end up having longer “wings” than I planned. And this makes correcting that liner boo-boo a breeze so it’s definitely perfect for newbies! It’s handy, convenient to use and surprisingly affordable. I’m sure you would love this too when you see how quick and easy it is to use.
Orly Nail Polish in Blue Collar
(Read more about it HERE)

This shade embodies the essence of summer so well. It’s fun, vibrant and incredibly refreshing on the eyes! It stays glossy all throughout wear and it doesn’t chip easily. Orly’s color payoff is utterly outstanding and it’s such a joy to look at. Plus, it really gets the attention of the kids. LOL!
BDJ April Box
(Read what’s in it HERE)

I never thought I would love subscription boxes this much. Honestly, I was never really fond of the idea of getting some ol’ random things but BDJ Box did well in putting a great summer box together. I’m currently using ALL of the items included in my April box. So no, nothing is wasted. And that’s why I love it!
Heat Wave Summer Bazaar 2013
(Read our shopping trip HERE)

I had serious fun shopping with my fellow bloggers at the Heat Wave Summer Bazaar. There were a lot of great deals. I was having so much fun that I almost forgot I was wearing heels the entire time. My favorite part, of course, is the awesome mustard yellow wrap-around watch I hauled! It’s so trendy and it goes well with most of my laidback outfits. It’s the perfect arm candy for me! Thank you, Aprille, for the passes! <3
Lioele Blooming Pop in Pinky Tint
(Read review HERE)

Since most of the products I put on my face eventually melts off because of the summer heat, it’s nice to have something that stays on without any fuss! Lioele Blooming Pop gives a subtle, soft pink stain on both lips and cheeks. The tint it gives is just enough to give the skin a healthy glow – nothing too made up. It’s perfect for summer!
Ben Nye Neutral Set Colorless Face Powder + Suesh Powder Brush
(Read Ben Nye review HERE)

Ever since summer begun, this has been my ultimate savior. It keeps oiliness at bay and my makeup intact despite the humid Philippine weather. What sets this apart from other setting powders I’ve tried before (disclaimer: I haven’t tried a lot, actually) is that it doesn’t give that off-white cast on photos and in person. I like using it with this big bell-shaped Suesh powder brush because it distributes the powder nicely and without concentrating it too much on one area.
That’s about it! Those are my top picks for the month of April, what’s yours?:)
See you on my next post!
