Thursday last week, October 17, I was invited to Asian Secrets Whitening Spa located at SM North Edsa – The Block. The brand Asian Secrets is more known for their whitening scrubs. Well, that’s where I first got to know the brand, at least. I’ve been a fan of their Lulur Whitening Body Scrub for quite some time now and to complement their products, they also have Asian Secrets Whitening Spa (opened last July 11, 2013) to make Lulur Whitening Ritual available to everyone.
About Asian Secrets. The Javanese Lulur, a 300-year-old royal purifying
ritual, was once exclusively used by brides-to-be from the royalty, 40 days before
their wedding day. Javanese princesses were treated with the Lulur ritual everyday
to whiten and smoothen their skin so that they will be most attractive
especially on their most awaited day. This royal Javanese ritual became a
tradition passed down through generations, and has now been enjoyed as a
purifying indulgence by men and women. This privilege can now be enjoyed at the
Asian Secrets Whitening Spa as a whitening and relaxing experience.
For the event, we were given the chance to experience their Relaxing and Brightening Facial first-hand. Before I go on with the details of the procedure, I’ll show you what the spa looks like inside.
Upon entering, there were several cubicles divided by concrete walls and curtains. There were a few ethnic artifacts to that complemented the soft yellow lighting to make the space look more tranquil. The feel of the entire place was very relaxing. The therapists were even whispering as a courtesy to those in the other cubicles. Let me just say that the therapist assigned to me was super nice and approachable. She patiently narrated to me the procedure and made me feel at ease throughout the session.
The massage was rather light and gentle compared to your average massage. My entire body was aching that day due to the whole-day adventure at Puerto Galera the day before so a gentle massage was just what I needed. It was definitely more of a half body massage than a facial – no pricking or removing black/white heads, just a light scrub and massage to remove dirt and promote good blood circulation. Add the very calming ambiance, it was truly a very relaxing experience. For a moment there I actually fell asleep. Teehee.

If you’re burned out from work or even school, I suggest you try visiting Asian Secrets Whitening Spa to unwind and temporarily free yourselves from all the stress. We deserve a relaxing break every once in a while you know. πŸ™‚

Following the success of Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub is Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub, another breakthrough moisturizing and whitening scrub by Asian Secrets, now specially formulated for the face.
Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub contains Bengkoang (Yam Bean in English or Singkamas in Filipino) a traditional Indonesian whitening ingredient. Bengkoang extract has natural whitening properties and can make skin look brighter and more radiant, contains vitamins C & E which are known as antioxidants that can fight harmful pollution from the environment to keep skin healthy.
Similar to the body scrub, it contains Lulur beads that gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells to smoothen and give skin a radiant glow. It moisturizes and leaves skin with a light fragrant scent.
Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Facial Scrub is affordably priced at Php70 for a 50g tube while a 100g tube retails for Php120. These will be available late October or early November so do keep an eye out for it. I’ll be roadtesting these soon.As always, I’ll let you know how it works on me.
A quick photo op with my fellow bloggers and the lovely people behind Asian Secrets Whitening Spa. Thank you for having me over! That was indeed a very relaxing facial. I can’t wait to share the privilege to my readers. <3
