I apologize for the lack of updates and slight delay in responding to emails. I’ll be back to my regular blogging routine soon enough – I just have to finish a few more scenes and several other paperworks. I’ll still try to post my long overdue product reviews when I have the time though. For now, here’s a quick rundown on my August favorite. 🙂
I has been weeks since I last posted a decent blog post. Argh! I miss blogging so much. 🙁 I’m thoroughly enjoying our short film project in school and I really hope we win but every once in a while, I just can’t shake off the feeling that something is missing when I don’t check my blog at least once a day.
CanMake Smooth Skin Primer (Read review HERE)
Meet my current favorite primer. 🙂 I’ve been using this everyday for the past 3-4 weeks now and I’m just amazed how well it fills the lines around the area of my eyes. If you don’t know, I have horrendous lines like that of a 40-year old woman under my eyes and concealers, no matter how good they are, have the tendency to settle and accentuate those lines. But with this primmer filling in those lines before I apply my concealer, the lines significantly lessens in an instant. So yeah, less creasing for my concealer and foundation too. I’m totally head over heals with this one right now.
Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Powder (Read review HERE)
This was a great product to begin with – I’ve already included this in one of my previous monthly favorites. What made me love this powder even more is that it can fully adapt to almost any skintone. I’ve been doing my groupmates’ makeup for weeks now (for our short film) and I was surprised by how versatile this shade was. There are 5 of us girls in our group and our color ranging from NC25-40, all of us use this powder for retouch as it offers decent coverage and incredible oil control. You’d be glad to know that this huge pan is very affordable too.
Miners Tin ‘o Tint in Cherry (Read review HERE)
I have nothing but pure adoration for this lip tint – love the smell, love the shade, love the sheen it gives to my lips! <3 During one of our shooting, I asked my groupmate to prep her lips with this to keep it moisturized before applying the lipstick. I don’t know how to say this without sounding very saleslady-like but 3 of my groupmates, upon trying this, immediately asked me to order one for each of them. I already promised to gift them one for Christmas though. 🙂
CanMake Cheek & Cheek Blush in 01 Candy Flower (Read review HERE)
This blush duo has been a staple in my makeup bag for weeks now. The different effects brought forth by combining the shades allowed me to come up with such diverse looks for our film. Believe it or not, I only bring 2 blushers in doing others’ makeup – this and ELF blush and bronzer duo for more mature roles.
Cynos Argan Oil THAIRapy Shampoo & Conditioner (Read review HERE)
Do I even have to explain this? My hair has never been this soft, vibrant and healthy. Too bad I already ran out of conditioner – I’m still trying to exhaust every last drop of the shampoo. LOL! If you have colored/chemically treated hair, you’ll NEED this. I swear, you won’t regret it. 🙂
I’ve had this for months now but only got to wear it to school last last week. I’m not really a fan of chunky heels because, admit it, it doesn’t look as sexy and intimidating as killer stilettos. Honestly, the only reason I bought this pair was because they were on sale. 🙂 Who am I to pass up such great bargain, right? Anyway, I learned to appreciate the chunky heels mostly because they’re more comfortable to wear, it doesn’t look “too much” for school and for someone as clumsy as I am, balancing on these babies is such an easy task compared when I’m wearing sky-high stilettos. <3
I’ve been using this for more than a month now! I love how relaxing and effective it is. Most of all, it’s super affordable. A Php89-pack normally lasts me about 2-3 weeks. I love using it after applying my toner and before my serum and creams to maximize the liquid essence. Plus it prevents me from dozing off while I’m studying. 🙂 I’ll be writing a detailed review on this soon.
Unfortunately, I can’t show you my most favorite pick for the month because it’s top secret- for now. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with makeup nor this blog. It’s a school-related thingy so don’t be too curious – I just can’t share it yet before our group’s big unveiling. I really hope we win. *fingers crossed*
That’s about it! Those are my top picks for the month of August, what’s yours?:)
