There’s nothing wrong with spending our hard earned moolah – or in my case, allowance – but it’s always great to get more from what we buy. I mean, why buy a set of brushes for more than $100 (PhP 4000) when you can get almost the exact same set for like $20 (Php 800)? Well, not unless you’re ridiculously rich or something. LOL! Anyway, if you’re like most of us, you’ll love to see these cheap brushes I saw last time I was at Landmark. πŸ™‚

More Artist Studio brushes!

These fluffy eyeshadow brushes and angled eyeliner brushes cost less than Php 50 each! I was so tempted to buy the slanted fluffy brush for creating more chiseled nose (a.k.a nose line) but BF didn’t want to wait in line at the cashier seeing how long the line was so I decided to buy it some other time.

Who ever said you need to shell out a lot of moolah to get decent face brushes? Sigma, Suesh and even Ecotools dupes are available at Landmark for less than half of their original price but almost the same packaging and quality. Gotta love a bargain! πŸ™‚

When you get the chance to visit Landmark, don’t forget to look for this brush landmine in the middle of the beauty section. It’s really filled with amazing brush finds! They’re dirt cheap but majority of them are of great quality.

Lemming for cheap brushes? Ooh my bad. πŸ™‚
Let’s now move on some of the new treats I tried recently. Nothing much though.

The day after my birthday, we went to a hot spring resort in Los Banos, Laguna. And on our way there, we stopped over a gas station along SLEX for a quick breakfast. I haven’t really tried Cinnabon before so I was excited to try the ones tita ninang bought. The chocolate cupcakes were to die for! The chocolate icing is about half an inch thick but it was not too sweet. Also, the sprinkles are shaped like Christmas tree! It was so cute. The red velvet ones, on the other hand, didn’t live up to the expectation. The cheesecake frosting is very thin and the cupcake itself is rather moist BUT it tastes nothing like red velvet — more like chocolate cupcake with cheese frosting.

And of course, it won’t be complete without a cake from Tous les Jours. I usually order the chocolate ones for special occassions but my tita liked this one better. It has fresh mangoes on top and the white bundt inside isn’t too sweet.

Lastly, to end this random post, here are some of the things I got during my birthday. Can’t wait to show you the things I got for the holiday! πŸ™‚
I did not include any makeup or skincare products here because I’m planning to create a 2-part haul post in the coming week. One would be the things I bought from the US and the other will be the one’s I got from Korea thru Seoul Catch. I’m so excited! I can already feel the start of 2013 filled with new product reviews! <3
My cousin got me a black sequined pair from Payless. No wonder she was late! I told her to meet me in Glorietta and it took her more than 30 minutes to walk from SM to Glorietta. I know something was up. LOL! BF bought me the cat’s ear hair clip and blue cardigan/leather cover-up from Crossings. I immediately fell inlove with that piece! It’s so weird and unique. We also completed our first Starbucks card for my apple green planner.
What I love the most is the green laptop desk from my younger siblings. It was pretty huge and heavy but they carried it for hours! They even rode MRT a couple of times while carrying it! I was so touched by the effort. I seriously have the sweetest sibs ever. <3
That’s about it, I guess.
I’m currently stocking up my Drafts folder for the coming week since I expect my schedule to be jampacked for the next 2 weeks. No worries, I’ll still blog every once in a while.
Happy holidays, ladies! πŸ™‚
