Hi everyone! I’ve decided to dedicate this rare long weekend to blogging so expect a wave of blog posts to come your way starting tonight until Wednesday. Brace yourselves, girls! LOL!
Let’s start with my daily skincare routine.
Like I said on my previous post, I was a loyal Pond’s user during my high school years. I guess Pond’s is like the entry level for all the kikay girls transitioning from childhood to puberty since a lot of the people I know also used the same during their earlier years. But when vanity kicked in, I felt the urge to try out more skincare products. Believe me, I had my fair share of trial and error when it comes to beauty products. And last summer, I experienced the worst breakout ever! I still blame Fanny Serrano’s Two-Way Cake Foundation. I had to completely amp up my skincare routine to cater to my skin’s ever changing needs.
Anyway, here’s my current skincare routine. 🙂
|I call them my “Anti-Pimple Skincare Battalion” LOL! 🙂|
Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam | Pevonia Botanica Sensitive Skin Lotion | StemCello EMortal Vitamin C Serum
To be perfectly honest, this Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam isn’t mine — it’s my boyfriend’s. I tried it when I was at his dorm and I just like how it makes my skin feel fresh and slightly stretched. So using my super pa-cute voice, I asked him if I can have it. And sure enough, he said yes. LOL!
As for my toner, I alternate 2 different toners: (1) The 200 mL Pevonia Botanica Sensitive Skin Lotion I got for FREE for winning their giveaway. And for weeks I’ve been ignoring it! But when some of the top beauty bloggers posted pictures and reviews about it… I rushed to my drawer and pulled out this toner. Honestly, I wouldn’t be able to try out this product if it wasn’t for the giveaway. Why? Mainly ’cause I won’t shell out Php 2600+ for a bottle of toner. Not unless it’s miraculous.
(2) I failed to include my favorite toner for the moment, Nisce’s Dr. Skin Toner, because I completely emptied my first bottle in just 2 weeks. Which reminds me, I need to repurchase more tomorrow!
You’ve probably noticed by now how much I’ve been raving about the new product Korea Cosmetics sent me — StemCello EMortal Vitamin C Serum and until now I’m still gaga over it! I’m simply head over heels in love with it. Read more on my review.
L’oreal Revitalift Eye
I only bought this because it was 30% off. LOL! Also, I read from the side of the packaging that it promises visible results in 30 days so I gave in. I’ve been using this for almost 2 months now and… I’ll tell you more on my review. *wink
Last but not the least,
Lynderm Antibiotic Cream | Etude House AC Clinic Red Spot Balm & Pink Daily Spot
I don’t know if it’s just me or is there really stages in a “pimple’s cycle”. Anyway, what I do is that when I feel a bulge on my face — which normally indicates that there’s a threat of a new pimple ready to bloom, I thoroughly clean my face then apply the Etude House AC Clinic Pink Daily Spot. And more often than not, I usually give in to my habit of pricking my pimples. But when I do, I always apply a thin layer of Lynderm Antibiotic Cream to avoid getting the area infected. Then after the pimple dries, I use Etude House AC Clinic Red Spot Balm to lighten the pimple marks.
I don’t think these products are too much. I try to prioritize skincare over makeup because as the latter covers imperfections, the former prevents any imperfection and lessens the need to cover anything in the first place. Like what I most people say, if the skin is no good.. the makeup, also, is no good. 🙂
So what products are in your daily skincare routine?
I’d love to hear from all of you. 😀
