I created this blog for product review, comparison and giveaway purposes. But as the time pass by, I find myself wanting to share more about me, the kikay behind the blog, than just concentrating on product reviews. I wanted to share a little bit of myself and what I love just to give you an idea.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing my weird shopping dates and food trips with my boyfriend. πŸ™‚
Anyway, today (it’s 3:15am already) is our 29th monthsary. Yey for us! But we already celebrated it last Tuesday because Saturday is a very busy day for both of us. Though we will be seeing each other later because we have the same Law class, we opted to celebrate it early since we also needed to blow off some steam that day.
On our way to Megamall for lunch.
The heavy traffic kept us on the road for almost 2 hours and we were starving! So we ended up taking more wacky pictures to kill time. πŸ™‚ Oh! Before I forget, I think I should give you a heads up. Unlike my previous posts, some of the pictures here are already uploaded on Instagram so expect them to be edited. πŸ™‚

My boyfriend had been bugging me for the longest time about a so-called Yabu restaurant at Megamall. He usually eat there with his friends but he was convinced that I would love their tonkatsu so he kept asking me to give it a try. Last Tuesday, I finally gave in. Mostly because I also have something to buy at Watson’s which was only available in their Megamall branch. Also, he offered to pay for everything so it was really not my decision to make anymore. LOL!

As usual, he was right. I liked the place, the ambiance and of course, the food. They have huge servings and unlimited rice and veggies. The waiters/waitresses are also very accommodating. They kept offering different things like more rice and soup. πŸ™‚

Cute setup for the spices and sauces.

Cool ways to keep customers distracted while waiting for their food: (1) huge manga comic strips on the glass/wall, and (2) make them prepare their own sauce by grinding sesame seeds and adding sauce.

Chicken Katsu and watermelon shake for me.
Pork Tonkatsu and lemonade for le BF.

I almost finished everything when my BF told me that his friend’s sisters can’t even eat half of the  usual serving because it was too big. I kinda felt unladylike so I refused to eat one more bite. LOL!

An Instagram photo I uploaded that day. (IG Username: cellineo8)

With all the goofy photos of us above, I felt like I owe you, girls, at least one decent photo of us. This was the only photo we took that day where we didn’t look like complete retards. LOL! I just love how we can act all stupid and childish together. (Cue “AWWW” sound like in movies)
Back to our usual programming! Let’s talk skincare products. πŸ™‚
I saw a post on My Lucid Interval that Neutrogena’s new Hydro Boost Gel SPF30 was on sale. You get 20% just by scanning the code sent to your phone. Unfortunately, it can only be availed at Watson’s Megamall branch. Good thing my BF was also craving for Yabu. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone, right? πŸ™‚

I’ve always wanted to try their Hydro Boost line but it was a bit pricey for me. So when I received the code for the 20% off, it was the perfect excuse to finally buy one! I was so excited we went straight to Watson’s. LOL!
I set out to buy the Hydro Boost Gel SPF30 which was, Php 830 less 20%, around Php 664 but as I got there, I saw that their Hydro Boost Water Gel was also on a different promo. I was so confused! LOL! So what I did was try both products on the back of my hand then I literally walked away. We had lunch at Yabu as I contemplate which one to get.
The Water Gel dried up to a velvety smooth finish while the Gel with SPF30 was a bit sticky.
Round 1: Hydro Boost Water Gel

Next, being an accountancy student, I forced to do the math. In buying the Water Gel + FREE Mousse Cleanser, I will save Php 445. But when I use the 20% off on the Gel with SPF30, I only save Php 166.
Round 2: Hydro Boost Water Gel

SPF in a moisturizer is not really important for me because my BB cream also has SPF.
Finally, I went back to Watson’s after eating lunch and bought these!
** Separate reviews for these might take some time because I’m not yet half way through my Stemcello Serum.
Free Mousse Cleanser!
Thinking about skincare products made me thristy. Happy Lemons, anyone? πŸ™‚
I forgot what our exact order was but the one on the left is for Michael (brown sugar something with jelly) and mine was Oreo milk tea, I think. YUMMM!

On our way to Greenhills, we passed by these Penshoppe ads. I’m not really a Penshoppe fan but my little sister is so I took this photo to show her that her beloved Mario Maurer has a new billboard. LOL!
It was raining and we didn’t know where exactly we’re going so we took a cab to Suesh’s Wilson branch. After which, we walked few blocks to Greenhills Shopping Center.
With all the “Singapore” authentic perfumes being sold everywhere, it’s really hard to find shops who sell original products. So if you’re looking for the real deal, you might want to look for this shop at Greenhills. πŸ™‚ By the way, I bought my friend’s CK One perfume here for Php 1700.

Have you noticed how I make 9Gag-related jokes and references on my past posts? It’s because I spend most of my time browsing 9Gag posts way before I started blogging. πŸ™‚

Weird ice cream. Only at Greenhills! LOL!

Here are some of the things I bought from Greenhills:

Pink Vivienne Westwood Wedge for Php 600
Actually, it was for Php 650-700 but I was feeling very thrifty that day so I asked the saleslady if I can get it for Php 600. And with the use of a little bit of charm and pa-cute, she agreed to sell it to me for that amount. YEY!

This is by far the comfiest heels I own! I wore this the entire day (school – makeup gig – grocery shopping) and I was surprised I even survived the day! I love wearing heels. They are my kryptonite but they sure hurt as hell. Especially my favorite purple pumps. So being able to walk in these shoes the whole day is really something. Plus, I love how it is made of rubber. Perfect for the rainy weather!
While people wear black rubber ankle boots during the rainy season, I will wear my pink rubber wedge! How kikay is that? LOL!
9Gag Meme Shirt. All 3 for only Php 550!
During my free time (between school and blogging), my favorite past time is reading rage comics on 9Gag. All thanks to my brother who influenced me. LOL! I was only planning to buy 2 shirts. Since I already bought shoes for myself, it was supposed to be for my brothers. But when I saw that they have a “challenge accepted” shirt in my size, I had to get it!
I wore my “challenge accepted” shirt yesterday during my first ever paid makeup gig. I just thought the shirt will make an interesting conversation starter. LOL! And of course there is an added confidence boost on my side. As if I really know what I’m doing. HAHAH! πŸ™‚

* I’ll post about my visit to Suesh some other time.
Have a happy weekend, girls! πŸ˜‰
