After all that’s said and done, I’m finally graduating! Yes, finally. Yesterday I finished the last exam of my college life and I’m now officially a bum – well, at least until the graduation. The past few months were toxic but I’m glad I complied with all my requirements early so now I’m free to blog all day long! Woohoo! Not just that but I also got a new camera to help me with my backlogs. How awesome is that! I’ll talk about my new baby love in a different post.. let’s have this one for now.:)

Besides the endless coffee supply, what helped me push through the hectic weeks were my vitamins. I have very low tolerance for pain and discomfort – thanks to my daily supplements, I survived the last of my college days as healthy as a horse. One in particular that I’ve been using is this Natural Resveratrol from PowerandBeauty.com.

Scientific studies have shown that Resveratrol supports healthy cardiovascular function through various mechanisms. Resveratrol, especially when combined with other polyphenols, is known for its’ anti-aging effects, as well as for its ability to support a healthy inflammatory response. NOW® Natural Resveratrol contains a comprehensive blend of polyphenols, including natural resveratrol and proanthocyanins (OPC’s from grape seed), plus catechins (green tea extract) for powerful cardiovascular protection.
Resveratrol belongs to a group of plant compounds known as polyphenols, which are naturally found in the skin of red grapes, certain berries, and other plants, albeit in low quantities. These compounds have antioxidant properties which protect the body against damage from cancer and heart disease.
You know what they say about the ingredients list, right? The simpler the words are and the shorter the list is, the better – just like in mineral make up. It doesn’t have a truckload of preservatives and artificial chemicals in it. As far as the list goes, this is, indeed, all organic. Something vegetarians would appreciate. 😉
Gotta love the multiple seals. Inside the bottle were leafy green capsules – okay, it kinda freaked me out at first but hey, no doubt about it being vegetarian-friendly now. 🙂 And let me just say that the capsules are huge! If you’re like my friend who, for the life of her, couldn’t take tablets and capsules.. daily intake of this would pose a challenge.
With all honesty, there was hardly any result significant enough for me to blab about. But then again, this IS nothing more than a dietary supplement. It didn’t claim to make you buff or lose weight so it’s very difficult – or even impossible – to assess. I mean, how can I know for sure if the anti-oxidants are working or if it indeed prevented cancer, you feel me?
But to be healthy all throughout my “busy season” was enough for me – it’s not something my usual Vitamin E supplement can sustain. Also, with what very little exercise I’ve been doing, I think my endurance is improving. My heart would usually threaten to jump out of my chest whenever I run a block or climb a flight of stairs but now, not too much. I’d like to think it has something to do with this Natural Resveratrol but like I said, I can never be sure. Even with all that uncertainty, I still like this and I plan on continuing my daily intake of this. Who knows maybe someday I can even join fun runs. If you’re into cardio exercises and early morning jogs, you might want to try this one out, too. 🙂
