May had been relatively uneventful for me. I mostly stayed at home and rarely went out with my friends. I’m not exactly sure why I’ve been bumming at home but it’s so unlike me. I guess the inconsistent weather is mostly to blame. Although I did spent a lot of my time blogging this month so I’d say I was really productive. πŸ™‚ Anyway, here’s a quick list of things/products that made me really happy and giddy last month – the last one made me “kilig” a lot. LOL!

Blog Revamp!

This has got to be my favorite! I love the color, the navigation keys, the font colors and just about everything about my new layout. Getting my blog revamped made me more excited to blog every day – I just love seeing a new post in my girly layout. And this whole redesigned layout was relatively cheap too! If you’re looking for an awesome website designer, I strongly recommend Dean of Its Me Deann. She’s very approachable and easy to talk too.
What do you think of my blog layout? Is it too girly? Do you prefer a minimalist design to make my blog look more professional? I’d love to hear what you think. πŸ™‚

CanMake Cheek & Cheek Blush in 01 Candy Flower
(Read review HERE)
This blush is just amazing! The fragile packaging could use a little improvement but the product itself is already great. It’s highly pigmented, has minimal fallouts and the color stays on for hours. I’ve been using this nonstop for weeks now. And oh my, the brush just blew me away! The best free brush so far. <3 I just can’t wait for their launching. Note to self: Buy 02 Tiara Rose and 07 Orange Bouquet when they become available.
Hayan Auto Eyebrow in 001 Gray Brown
(Read review HERE)
Want filled-in brows that still look natural? This is exactly why I love and would recommend this brow pencil! It’s pigmented, affordable and easy to use. Normally, it takes me a good 3-5 minutes to fill in/shape my brows with my Rimmel brow pencil, but with this one, it only takes my about 1 minute or so then I’m out the door. I must say, this is really perfect for everyday look!

May BDJ Box: Fun, Fresh and Fierce!
(Read unboxing HERE)
Yes, yes. This month’s BDJ Box is included in my monthly favorites list – AGAIN. But what can I do, the team behind the BDJ Box keeps on improving the contents of their box month after month! Have you seen what’s inside their May box? Well, let’s just say I’ve been putting all of them to good use. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, BDJ Box is worth your bucks. I even convinced my cheapo cousin to subscribe! Woohoo! πŸ˜€
San San Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
(Read review HERE)
I’ve had a handful of great and affordable finds last month but this Waterproof Eyeliner Pen from San San really did stood up from the bunch. For something so affordable, I was really surprised to get a quality way beyond what I paid for. It’s pigmented, smudge-proof and it truly has an incredible staying power. This gave my Peripera Eyeliner Pen a run for its money. LOL!
EOS Dark ICE in Gray
(Read review HERE)
This is by far my most favorite gray pair I got from Dull to Doll. That’s actually saying a lot because I now have more or less 5 gray pairs from that shop alone. I don’t know exactly what attracts me to this pair but it just looks so different and unique from all other lens designs. Just looking at it inspires me to create makeup looks! Ahhh.. if only I have someone who could take decent pictures. πŸ™

Laniege Sleeping Water Pack_EX
(Read review HERE)
I’ve read a lot of raves about this product and to be honest, I was disappointed at first. It was great, really but it did not live up to my expectations. However, since I noticed that heavy day creams trigger my milia-infected cheeks (I’ll be posting about this the soonest), I decided to stick with lightweight creams for the meantime. So for almost a month now, I’ve been using this as my daily night cream instead. The difference between a typical moisturizer and this sleeping pack_EX is still vague to me but this is really doing wonders for my skin. It hydrates my skin and keeps it looking fresh in the morning. Now that I think of it, I’ll have to edit my review on this. πŸ™‚

YouTube Guru, Wayne Goss!
(Check out his channels gossmakeupartist & gossmakeupchat)
I’m obviously saving the best for last. πŸ™‚ For the past 5 weeks, I’ve been watching Wayne Goss’ videos every single night before I sleep – and sometimes in between writing product reviews too. He’s unbelievably talented and charming. I’ve learned so much more from watching his videos than attending makeup workshops, like seriously! He doesn’t just teach you how to apply makeup, he also discusses the science behind the ingredients. I just love him – my boyfriend is so jealous. HAHA. He’s like a treasure chest filled with “makeup wisdom”, charm and a huge personality. <3 *fangirl mode: ON!*
If you’re in need of quick makeup tips, do subscribe to Wayne Goss’ channels. He’s awesome!

That’s about it! Those are my top picks for the month of May, what’s yours?:)
See you on my next post!
