Toni Gonzaga’s recent wedding caused quite a stir on social media site, mainly on Facebook. But not because it was as grand as the DongYan wedding, let’s face it, no wedding will be that big. Rather, it is it’s simplicity that made headlines. They’re unlike other celebrity couples and their relationship is something to be looked up to. Another reason it was talked about was because Toni used drugstore products for her bridal look. That’s something very unnatural for a bride to do, no wonder people were intrigued by it.
The original plan is actually to recreate Toni Gonzaga’s Bridal Look, but you know that’s not how I role. I’m not good at imitating looks. That’s just not my forte. What I can do, though, is taking the original look and creating something that is more me, if you know what I mean. *wink!
“As Toni Gonzaga glowed in her Vera Wang dream wedding gown, her makeup artist Krist Bansuelo made her even more beautiful during her most special day with the help of Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner and yes, Maybelline Express Hypercurl.”
The look is fairly easy and straightforward to do so there isn’t a need to do a step-by-step for it. I listed all the products below for your reference, though. But in case you need to clarify anything, feel free to let me know. I’d be more than happy to can help. <3
FACE: Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional, Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, ZA Cosmetics Perfect Fit Concealer, L’Oreal Lucent Magique (as highlighter base), Maybelline All-In-One Powder Foundation
EYES & BROWS: Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze (as base and overall wash), Urban Decay Naked Palette (for the crease area), Maybelline HyperSharp Liner, Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara, IN2IT Brow Powder
LASHES: Maybelline HyperCurl Mascara, of course!
And here’s the final look. It looks nothing like Toni Gonzaga’s bridal look. Rather, I took inspiration from it and turned it into something that could be worn on a regular day. This is actually my go-to makeup for job interviews because it’s light, fresh and it looks very work-appropriate. I focused more on highlighting certain areas to create a radiant glow instead of throwing in too much color, e.i blush and loud lipstick. The brows are softer, too, to avoid looking too old and intimidating. I think softer brows make me look friendlier and more approachable, don’t you think?

For the eyes, I stuck with earth tone shades with a bit if shimmer. This brings emphasis to my eyes without going overboard with it. Also, the eyeliner is thin, precise, and I didn’t winged it out too much for a gentler appeal. Oh, you can’t forget about the mascara! I wear glasses so it kinda dulls down the eye makeup. Maybelline HyperCurl Mascara is an absolute must to make my eyes pop, even behind the glasses. It opens up my eyes more giving them more intensity. This mascara is great not only for quick makeup looks for errands, but it’s also more glammed up look like the one I did a few weeks ago. See here for reference: 3-Step Makeup Look, One-Brand Glam Look.

So what do you think of the look? It isn’t much but I hope you liked it. If ever you did try the look, I’d really appreciate it if you’d tag me on Instagram (@celline08) so I can see. <3
