Okay, here’s a random ice breaker from all the product reviews I’ve been snowballing at ‘ya. This is actually what I wore to the Forever21xPhFW event last Friday. Incidentally, this is also what I was wearing during my first ever episode of “road rage”. HAHA. As I was saying on my previous post, the left rear portion of my car was hit by a trailer truck on my way to the event. I was in Magallanes going straight to Buendia when the truck forced itself the U-turn slot just as I was passing the narrow U-turn slot. I went hysterical when the truck driver won’t even go down to talk to me. I was so mad I was shouting at him and banging his door for him to come down. Anyway, it was a good thing that I was all made up. I think that kinda intimidated him – if I was wearing my casual outfit, he might have pushed me around thinking I’m too young to know better. Argh! So much for that. Haha.
Going back to the clothes,
Black Jersey Dress & Grey Cardigan from Lao Jie Street Market, China
Gold Casio Vintage Watch from Chelseakhiel Pinas | High-Cut Sneakers from Coach
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I bought awesome bargain finds in Lao Jie Market. Lao Jie is basically a huge shopping area for almost anything and everything you can think of. They have both branded and thrift stores. In one section there were these Green Hills-like boutiques, only cheaper and of better quality. Would you believe that I got the dress and the cardigan of RMD49 each or less than Php400 each! The materials for both garments are great, too. Very Forever21-ish. <3
Don’t mind the band aid. I had a slight accident. HAHA. The whole outfit was actually formed around the shoes. I didn’t want to wear heels to the event since I know I would be out shopping with my boyfriend after the fashion show so I had to wear something comfy but still fashionably chic. What’s more comfy than a pair of sneakers, eh? 🙂
I had absolutely no idea how to properly curl my hair, hence the messy wave. I don’t know about you but I think it ties the whole look together. It’s not too made up but not to plain either. And oh, Revlon ColorBurst Matte Lip Balm in Shameless (Read review HERE) was perfect for the look, too. I love it!
How’s that for a random ice breaker? HA! 😀 If you want the list of products used for the look, check out my previous post. See you on my nest post. 🙂
