Christmas came a bit early this year. I got to spend time with most of my relatives as they came to Manila for a quick vacay. We don’t normally see each other on a yearly basis so this was a rather joyful gathering. We did a lot of shopping but what I enjoyed most was our out-of-town trip the weekend before my birthday. I’ll be doing a separate post for that. 🙂
Not only that but I also (finally) received the items I bought from US sites. You see, I normally have my stuff delivered to my tita‘s address in New York and have them shipped here when all the things I bought from different sites are complete. That way, I get to save on shipping cost. Talk about being kuripot. HAHA.
I first saw the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o’ Blushes on one of the Facebook groups for beauty bloggers. I immediately searched for reviews and swatches! So when my tita asked me what I wanted for my birthday, this was my automatic/default answer. But since this was very limited (sold out on their official online site), I didn’t expect her to find one. I was expecting something else from Benefit Cosmetics but when I opened my birthday present, I was ecstatic to see that she did find one. I can only imagine the effort she must have exerted to find this. Aww!
The Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box o’ Blushes included the following: Dandelion (4.0g), Sugarbomb (6.0g), CORALista (5.0g), Bella Bamba (5.0g), Hoola (5.0g), Rockateur (5.0g) and, Watt’s Up! (1.5g).
A month before my tita‘s flight to the Philippines, I decided to do some online shopping using my boyfriend’s credit card. I came across ELF’s new promo code which I took advantage of. Can you see how addicted I am to blushes at the moment? Haha! I got 3 shades of the new ELF HD Cream Blush and 2 of their Baked Blushes – all of which will be reviewed very soon. It came with a new black leatherette pouch, a mascara and a mineral lip gloss, too!
ELF’s US site is known for their generosity when it comes to freebies which is exactly why I keep on purchasing from their site instead of here in the Philippines. 🙂 I got the Beauty Book Smoky Look Set, a couple of brushes and a Matte Lip Color for FREE! How awesome was that?!
I’ve already emptied 2 bottles of ELF Mineral Infused Face Primers before so I know how good it is in keeping oiliness at bay. That said, I decided to repurchase one bottle of the original variant and get one of the newer variants – the Radiant Glow.
If you joined my recent giveaways, you’d know be aware that I would be including some “mystery gift” to the previously posted list of prizes. Well, here they are! I won’t tell you which ones I’ll be including to the prizes and for which giveaway, though. I’m keeping it a surprise for the winners. 🙂
Remember the Personal Microderm
I reviewed early last year? If you haven’t yet, read HERE
. Well, I’m still very much in love with that device and what I wrote on my review is still 100% accurate. So much so that I already used up all the discs included in my original PMD set so I decided to stock up. I bought 2 sets of moderate discs (green)
for the face and 1 set of coarse discs (black)
for the body. Yes, they can be used for the body, too! In case, you’re wondering, I use my PMD on my legs and knees as well. 🙂 And each set costs around $15 each. 🙂
My gold vintage Casio Watch has been my go-to watch for quick errands lately and I noticed how I don’t have other gold accessories to match it with. I planned on getting a gold necklace with a small gold cross pendant but before I can even raid malls for it, my tita got me more than enough gold accessories to mix and match with my watch. <3
I don’t know if you can see it but the one on the left actually says “Bite Me” and the other one means “Kitty Power”. They both have this angst-y meaning behind the dainty look. Girl power – so cute!
I’ve been eyeing a light turquoise statement necklace from The Ramp for a while now. It’s not expensive but I didn’t buy it because I can’t think of a particular top I can pair it with – but still, it’s nice to have one just to have more options if ever I decide to experiment on my looks. I was very excited when I saw this. I love how the turquoise necklace is very dainty and girly while the red/orange one has this edgy, Aztec feel to it.
That’s it for this quick haul post. I gotta finish wrapping presents now. 8 days before Christmas!
I’ll be back later to finish more posts for next week. Byee! See you on my next post. 🙂
