Finding the right eye cream has always been a struggle for me. I need something that intensively moisturizes my undereye area to prevent fine lines from forming, but doesn’t clog the pores in the process. I noticed that when I use heavy-duty moisturizers my skin tends to develop milia or the tiny bumps that look like warts. But the aren’t really warts! They’re actually keratin or fat stuck underneath the surface of the skin, much like whiteheads but are found deeper into the skin. It can be extracted professionally or better yet, prevent milia from forming by using products that are light and easily absorbed by the skin.
Sensibio Eye Contour Gel comes in a squeeze tube with a very narrow tip that easily controls the amount of product dispensed. I personally prefer eye creams in this kind of packaging rather than the usual jar as I find the former more hygienic. Consistency-wise, Sensibio Eye Contour Gel is rather thin and runny so a small pea-size is enough for both eyes. It is light and easily absorbed by the skin so I won’t have to worry about it clogging my pores. It effectively moisturizes and hydrates the skin without being greasy. Also, it is gel-based which makes it a good makeup base.
The Sensibio Eye Contour Gel is said to contain caffeine, a decongesting ingredient, that helps reduce puffiness around the eyes, as well as Hyaluronic acid that reduces fine lines. It is also fragrance-free and hypoallergenic making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.
RESULT: I’ve been using this for the past 3 months and although it is effective in reducing puffiness, I have not noticed any notable results when it comes to fine lines. I mean, this is great for when I have little to no sleep because it prevents my eyes from looking bulgy in the morning. It’s also a nice makeup base as it allows the concealer to glide on the skin smoothly and without dragging. But other than that, Sensibio Eye Contour Gel does nothing to address my major concern (read: pre-mature fine lines).
