Happy Sunday ladies! I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Celeteque recently came up with this new “BioWhite” and “Biobenefity” thing for fine lines reduction and overall skin brightening. What’s a BB cream without a little skincare functions, right? I’ve been using this for weeks now and have already included it in my July Favorites (Read more HERE). Anyway, I just think it’s about time for me to write a proper review on this Celeteque Brightening BB Cream so here it is. 🙂
 Product Description:
(Taken from www.sampleroom.ph)
CÉLETEQUE DermoScience™ Brightening Multi-benefit BB Cream works as both moisturizer and make-up base. It brightens your complexion, tightens pores, and moisturizes while providing light coverage. The cream has: BioWhite to help reduce wrinkles and lighten dark spots, Bobenefity which provides brightening benefits, Laricyl to immediately minimize pores, Silica for absorbing excess sebum and SPF 15 for daily sunscreen protection from UVA/UVB rays.
There’s nothing special nor fancy about the packaging. Celeteque Brightening BB Cream is housed in a glossy plastic tube with a narrow nozzle for dispensing the product. To securely cover the nozzle is a screw-top cap that is just as slim as the entire tube itself. I really appreciate how slim and travel-efficient the packaging is. It isn’t too bulky to carry around and it fits nicely in my bag. All necessary details (manufacturing date, expiration date and other claims) about the product can easily be found on the box. The overall look is very neat, simple and, dare I say it, clinical but not in a bad way. 🙂
Unlike most BB creams I’ve tried before, Celeteque Brightening BB Cream is thick and almost gel-like in consistency but still light on the skin. Expect it to be tricky to apply given its consistency. It dries and adheres to the skin rather quickly which makes it difficult to even out – this requires a lot of tugging on the skin so be sure to prime your face with moisturizer to help the BB cream glide on smoothly. Just don’t overdo it else this could cause your entire makeup to cake.
The silver lining of the thick consistency, like in foundations, is that it was able to offer coverage that exceeds most Korean BB creams. It can cover up minor flaws and even some of my pimple marks too but not as great for the under eye area.
This only comes in one shade which, unfortunately, is tad lighter than my skin tone. Plus, it has an obvious pink undertone that doesn’t suit me. Thankfully, I was still able to make it work for me. 🙂 It gives a lovely matte finish as well. I just wish they could’ve made one with a more yellow-ish undertone since this is known to be shared by most Asian women, most especially Filipinas.
I am very impressed by the unique, matte finish. I’m pretty sure those with combination to oily skin would really appreciate this as it performs well under the oil control department. The SPF is always a good addition especially here in our country. It’s nice that it doesn’t give any white cast in photos. Although a little boost in the SPF would be great too. 🙂
Again, I know it’s way too fair for me but with the help of my Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder (Read review HERE) and the little thing called oxidizing, the color somehow adapts to something like the one on the right photo – Sorry, forgot my lipstick. What I really like about this Celeteque BB Cream is that it has a great staying power, for a BB cream at least. It lasts for hours with very minimal shine and without the need to retouch with powder every other hour.
