Who here doesn’t like retouching their makeup in public restrooms? *hand shoots up* ME! I just generally don’t like retouching my makeup throughout the day. I mean, I will if I have to but as much as possible, I would really like to avoid the awkward stares in the ladies comfort room when I bring out my hefty makeup kit. o.O

So in the hopes of preventing such situation, I try to go for products that I know would really stay on for a good amount of time and basically anything that could help my makeup in terms of longevity. Say like, primers, mists/sprays and setting powders – sometimes, when I’m extremely desperate, I use all three products mentioned at once. Is that super weird?

Product Description:
Ultimate wear powder that gives a full, flawless coverage for up to 16 hours. Controls oil and tones down shine for a subtle matte finish. Enhance the long lasting coverage by teaming with Lasting Perfection Foundation and Lasting Perfection Concealer.
I’m honestly not a big fan of the packaging. As you can see, Collection Lasting Perfection Powder is encased in this thin plastic compact packaging that is easily breakable. Also, the clear top cover isn’t a screw lid-type so it comes off rather easily too. Thus making it incredibly bothersome to have inside my everyday makeup kit. Lastly, though the pan containing the actually product does hold quite a lot, it’s off-putting that the pan itself rotates/moves around when I swirl my brush over it.

That being said, it’s obvious that this Collection Lasting Perfection Powder isn’t really made for travelling, packaging-wise that is. The packaging has a lot of room for improvement – good thing the actual product makes it worth buying. πŸ™‚

Although the powder isn’t as finely-milled as I hoped it would be, it’s great that it isn’t chalky or dusty to use. So I’m basically just grateful that it doesn’t make a mess of my vanity space when I run my brush over it. πŸ™‚ Plus, it goes on the skin smoothly and effortlessly all thanks to my trusted Suesh powder brush.

The best part about Collection Lasting Perfection Powder for me personally is that it doesn’t give me a dull matte finish. Instead, it offers a very luminous and flawless finish. It’s like it has microscopic shimmers that gives the skin this gorgeous subtle glow without looking like a disco ball. It helps blur out lines ever-so slightly too. It’s also very light on the skin – it pretty much doesn’t offer any coverage but I like how it looks translucent on the skin. And unlike typical white setting powders, this doesn’t create white cast in photos or in real life.

As for the staying power, I really didn’t expect it to last for a whole 16 hours so it wasn’t really a complete letdown when I noticed it fading after 6 hours. Hey, with a climate like ours, 6 hours isn’t that bad, right? πŸ™‚ It’s unfortunate that it didn’t last as long as it claimed but at least I got a decent wear-time. No shine and oiliness in 6 hours. That’s good enough for me! Although it’s important to note that I don’t have extremely oily skin.

What Collection Lasting Perfection Powder looks like under complete makeup…
NO EDIT. See, it looks very vibrant and fresh! Not to mention flawless. πŸ™‚
Overall, for something this affordable, I’m just pleasantly surprised that Collection Lasting Perfection Powder was actually able to give such impressive result. The brand is fairly new here but from this powder alone, I really wouldn’t mind picking up more products from the brand the next time I come across their stall. By the way, I used Collection Cover & Go Foundation and Concealer Duo in 04 Natural as base for this look/FOTD. Review will be posted soon. πŸ™‚
