I know you’re you’re all very much aware how much I love BB creams. I’m actually alternating 5 or 6 Korean BB creams at the moment. I just love how light they are on the skin compared to foundations; making them perfect for everyday use. The only problem with Korean BB creams is their limited shade availability. Most often than not, Korean BB creams come in fair shades with pink undertones that obviously would be hard to match. Worry not because finally a BB cream fit for our true Filipina skin tone is now available in the market.. Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream.

Gluta Whitening BB Cream is a multi-benefit product that not only works externally — it also penetrates deeper using breakthrough Nanotechnology to deliver 5 wonderful benefits to your skin.
It acts as a whitening cream with its glutathione and papaya extract to even out skin tone and promote healthy cell renewal. It acts as a tinted makeup base or sheer foundation because of its self-adjusting shade that complements all Asian skintones. It doubles as a moisturizer with shea butter and soothing aloe vera, and works as a toner with hazel extracts that treats blemishes. Finally, it protects your skin from harmful UV rays with SPF27.
Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream is housed in a sky blue, aluminum squeeze tube with a screw cap. I’ve expressed time and again why I prefer this kind of packaging for BB creams as opposed to those that come with spatula or pumps. This is because easy-squeeze tubes gives me better control in dispensing product and this way, I can squeeze out every last ounce of product. 🙂 Another thing about the packaging; I can easily wipe off  the BB cream-fingerprints on the metallic material.
Like most BB Creams, Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream is very light and easy to blend in spite of the SPF content. It isn’t sticky nor greasy too. I usually recommend BB cream to those who are easing in with the whole makeup thing because it’s easier to apply and is more forgiving when it comes to shade-matching – compared to foundations, at least. I prefer using clean fingers in applying since the natural warmth of our fingers breakdown the product thus making the application easier and a lot faster. That said, I find this BB cream to be very easy to even out. Plus, there is no overwhelming scent.
Great news for those who, like me, find it hard to get a good BB cream that matches our morena skin. Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream comes in only one shade – a medium beige shade (NC35) with a slight yellow undertone.  Guess what, it fits my skin tone perfectly! Although releasing 2 or 3 shades would be great too.. just to have a wider range of shades to choose from.

It offers light to medium coverage that can conceal minor blemishes and slight skin discolorations. Given the amount of SPF, it is expected to translate to a grayish cast on flash photography. But in person, I didn’t notice any unnatural cast. Just refrain from layering on too much. If you need better coverage, use a concealer instead.

It gives a semi-matte finish which I prefer setting with powder. If you have normal to dry skin, you can get away with this alone. If you have combination skin, like me, lightly dust on powder to improve wear time. However, if you have extremely oily skin, I don’t think the oil control, if  any, agents of this particular BB cream can really prevent shine and oiliness. Simply put.. setting, blotting and retouching would be your best option.

Considering every aspect, I still feel that Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream is totally worth trying out especially if you are having troubles in finding a BB Cream that matches your skin color. It’s great for everyday use! 🙂
