Searching for reviews and recommendations online has become an integral stage for me before buying pricey yet unnecessary products. And before buying my first brush set almost a year ago, I did an intensive research on affordable essential brushes so I can follow makeup tutorials on YouTube. All my hours in research came down to 2 options: ELF Studio Line Brush Set and Ecotools Brush Sets.
I went with ELF Studio Line Brush Set because it is cheaper but my curiosity about Ecotools grew every time I read a review about it.
Now, that curiosity is about to die as I get the chance to test drive one of Ecotools set first hand.

– The bristles are very soft and not rough on the skin.
– It packs a lot of product.
– It supports the “go green” campaign for our environment plus its anti-animal cruelty.
– The pouch with mirror is very handy and convenient.
– The handles which are made of bamboo are cute and sturdy.
– There are labels on each handle. No need to guess what the brushes are for. 🙂
– No shedding and bleeding even after washing this set twice.

– Most of the product (eyeshadow) remains on the bristles.
– The handles are a bit too short and stubby for me. I would love it even more if it’s an inch longer.
– The brushes are bigger than normal brushes. This makes it harder to create details.

Buy Again? No, one eye brush set from Ecotools is enough but I still like to try their kabuki brush.
My Verdict: 3.5/5
