During hot summer days, it is said that can go by without blush since our cheeks naturally look flushed because of the temperature. But that’s more true for those with fairer skin than for morenas like myself. So for me, whether it’s summer or not, I still use blush to give myself an instant healthy glow and a polished look at the same time. Gotta love my blushes! <3

Create a healthy and natural glow all year long with the Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition. This convenient compact has just what you need to achieve a gorgeous glow anytime, anywhere.
ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder is housed in a sleek black, semi-rubber compact. It’s fairly slim so it would fit nicely in any makeup kit as it would only take up a small space. It locks securely and it won’t open accidentally inside your bag too.

Another plus is the huge mirror that took up one side entirely. I do like the overall packaging however, I would appreciate it even more if the exterior is glossy instead of semi-rubber. Simply because, like rubber packaging, semi-rubber tends to accumulate dust and other dirt which causes it to look somewhat dirty.
ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder has commendable staying power considering its price. It stays for 4-5 hours without retouch which is actually pretty decent for a blush. As for its texture, well.. it doesn’t feel scratchy on the face but it’s not finely-milled either. It goes on smoothly with the exception of the gold specks which are a bit too big for my taste. Also, the blush is a bit powdery and has slight fallouts during application. No fallouts for the bronzer though.

St. Lucia, unfortunately, doesn’t have individual names for the blush and the bronzer. Anyway, the blush is a peachy pink shade with noticeable gold specks that instantly highlights the cheekbones. Yup, no need for highlighters here. On the right is the bronzer, a medium matte brown shade that is perfect for my morena skin. Both blush and bronzer are incredibly pigmented. The bronzer may look overwhelming when swatched but upon blending, it becomes more natural-looking and totally wearable during day time.  Overall, I still think this is an awesome compact to have in my purse.
Basing solely on the shade description, I’d like to think that ELF St. Lucia is somewhere near NARS Orgasm Blush/Laguna Bronzer Duo. That’s just from the reviews I’ve read.. I guess there’s only one way to find out for sure (read: gotta buy the NARS Duo). *wink

I’ve got tons of ELF products in my stash and I feel compelled to share my favorites first. LOL!
