I can feel it, I’m transforming. I’m slowing liking things I strongly detest about a year ago and I find myself hating some of the things I used to love. Oh dear me, could it be that I’m actually maturing? *gasp! Naaahh! I’d like to think that everything is just a phase. LOL! Enough over-analyzing small deets and let’s just go on with the review, shall we?
I’d like to apologize in advance for the quality of the photos below. Uhmm.. they’re obviously not as good as my previous lens reviews. I suppose it has something to do with the color of the lens, it’s too light that my camera couldn’t focus on it. You’ll see what I’m talking about in a while. πŸ™‚
Brand: EOS (Dark ICE)
Water content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14.8 mm
Duration: 1 year disposable

COLOR & DESIGN:
I have to admit, the ice-cold gray shade can be too intimidating to some. It is nowhere near subtle and natural-looking. Dark ICE in Gray attracts a great deal of attention and gazing public eyes.. something that would be difficult for me to wear on a daily basis. This might shock you but this particular pair is actually my favorite among the bunch. It’s very captivating and mesmerizing that I started buying cobalt and shimmery blue eyeshadows to compliment this gray pair. I plan to create the perfect ice queen look. No joke!

ENLARGEMENT:

With the diameter of 14.8 mm, this is obviously bordering creepy town! However, since the gray outer rim going halfway through the lens is so light, it kinda defeats the purpose of the bigger-than-normal lens size. In the contrary, it sort of makes my pupils look smaller from afar as the light gray part covers my natural dark brown pupil. Thus allowing only the center of my pupil to peep through the bright gray color.

COMFORT & VISION:
I wouldn’t love it if I couldn’t bear wearing it, right? πŸ™‚ Needless to say, I didn’t experience any major irritation, redness or blurred vision with this pair. It’s fairly easy to wear and it feels incredibly thin when worn. Although in some instances, I felt like the lens in one of my eyes is moving around. With regards to dryness, I could wear this from 8am to around 4 in the afternoon without experiencing any discomfort brought about by dryness. But by around 5 or 6pm, I would normally have to either rest my eyes for a bit or put a couple of drops of solution – depends if my eyes feel stressed already – to relieve any feeling of uneasiness.
What Dark ICE in Gray looks when worn:
As I look at the photo above, I can’t help but start gushing with so much praises for this pair. I have nothing but pure love for this and I’m actually a bit frustrated that all other pictures here didn’t quite give justice to how gorgeous the pair really is. If you plan to create a heavily-colored eye makeup look, you might want to pair it with this lens. I guarantee you it would look ridiculously awesome. πŸ™‚
I promise to post a high resolution photo for this.. but for the meantime, here’s a picture of me rockin’ Dark ICE in Gray – with matching red streaks – during our annual school org event last February.
