Hey hey hey! πŸ™‚ It’s been a while since I last posted contact lens reviews.. Did you miss it? πŸ™‚

Anyway, amongst all the lovely pairs Valerie of Dull to Doll sent me over the past few months, this EOS Flower Series pair stood out the most because of its color and design. I remember saying before that blue lenses on morena girls like me would make me look like a “fish out of water”. Not because fishes have blue eyes – obviously they don’t – but because it looks really unnatural and well, bordering “trying hard mestiza”. I’m not that judgmental and I have nothing against people wearing blue lenses but I just personally DIDN’T like it – emphasis on the past tense because Valerie changed my views yet again.

Brand: EOS (Flower Series)
Water content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14.0 mm
Duration: 1 year disposable
As the name of the series’ suggests, this EOS pair comes in a very detailed floral design. It has a brown outer rim that is followed by a blue shade strategically arranged to form petals and yellow rim on the center. The design truly looks intimidating at this point but, without a doubt, it is extremely pretty and mesmerizing. I’m no cosplayer.. I don’t plan to have weird blue flowers on my pupil when I walk in public! But from the photos below, you’ll see it’s nothing like that. πŸ™‚ And let me just say.. this flower design reminds me of gumamela. LOL!

Personally, I find the 14.00 mm diameter to be slightly smaller than my pupil. Although the size difference isn’t really that big. Actually, you won’t even notice it at first glance.. you’ll have to stare at it for minutes before you can really see the difference. Bottom line is, the size looks almost normal so it doesn’t really bother me that much. Plus, since enlargements are very popular, it’s nice to experience the other end of the spectrum. πŸ™‚ It’s also important to note that despite it being smaller than my pupil, it doesn’t bother my eyesight nor do I see its edges lying on top of my pupil.

Comfort should and always be everyone’s priority. Heck, I won’t dare wear something if it’s scratchy or it hurts my eyes regardless how pretty the design is – nor should anyone of you, for that matter. This goes without saying but just for the record, I’ll still say it. πŸ™‚ My EOS Flower pair is beyond comfortable to wear! Unlike other pairs that I have to “break in” or adjust to at first, I didn’t  experience any itchiness or discomfort even during my very first attempt to wear this particular pair of contact lens. No redness or irritation occurred at any point too. Putting this on is such a breeze, believe me. Also, it’s super thin that I sometimes forget that I’m even wearing contact lenses! I just have to make sure that I add a drop of solution before putting it on. That way, I wouldn’t feel any dryness and discomfort throughout the day.

I always bring my lens case and solution with me no matter how small my bag is to make sure I have what I need if ever irritation occurs but so far, I never really needed them. I sometimes get lashes in my eyes but it still doesn’t bother the lens that much. πŸ™‚

What it looks on:

You have to agree, the blue color and the intricate floral design didn’t wash me off completely! The brown borders meshed well with the natural color of my eyes so it turns out to be a black rimmed pair with interesting blue flecks. It just made my look more interesting to a point that even if I don’t wear any eye makeup (except mascara), I can still pull the look off! It doesn’t look natural on me, that’s for sure, but it also doesn’t look overreaching.

I have a total of 5 – including this one – pairs to review and this has got to be one of my favorites from the bunch. This is what I normally wear for events since my top fave isn’t really as wearable as this one. So yeah, I love this.. to bits! <3
