I just realize that I’ve received quite a lot of gray lenses over the past months. Would you like to see side-by-side pictures and quick descriptions about each pair condensed in one photo-heavy post? Just so you could really see even the slightest difference.. who knows, those tiny details could help you decide which pair to get. *wink! Just let me know and I’ll see what my “personal Photoshop editor” a.k.a boyfriend can do about it. LOL!
For the meantime, here’s another contact lens review.
Thanks for the pair, Val! 😀
Water content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.8 mm
Diameter: 14.5 mm
COLOR & DESIGN:
Much like EOS G-211, this pair also has a pair of dark outer rims gradating to a more subtle light gray portion and white pixels that are farther apart as they reach the center – leaving the center completely plain. Once worn, the outer rim boarders the attention-grabbing gray part. It looks unnatural and obvious… but at the same time, very flattering. The middle part, being void of any design, is left to show the true color of the eyes which I think balances the bright gray color quite nicely.
I personally think this pair would be great if you plan on highlighting your eyes and keeping everything else in the down low. It’s great for dramatic smokey eyes but not so much for everyday looks. 🙂
I was not a fan of big, creepy contact lenses a year ago and am still not. Heck, I don’t think I’ll ever really appreciate them except, of course, for theater plays, cosplay or costume parties – never for regular days! Anyway, good thing this EOS G-206 pair is very natural, size-wise. It fits snugly and it doesn’t look weird on me.
COMFORT & VISION:
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. As long as the grade is correct, everything is Hi-Def. 🙂 That’s as far as the category “vision” would go for me. As for comfort, I was able to wear it without any fuss or irritation – no redness and itchiness at any point during my first try. Also, I was able to wear it for about 4-5 hours without it feeling dry. Although after the 5-hour mark, it’s best if you moisten it a little with eye drops to prevent the lenses from drying out. Or better yet, just remove the contact lenses for about 5-10 minutes and allow your eyes rest. This was actually suggested to me by my Ophthalmologist. So when I know I’ll be out the whole day, I make sure to bring my glasses with me.
But as far as this apir is concerned, there was no discomfort, irritation or blurry vision during wear time. It’s rather thin, too, which makes it fairly easy to wear but tricky to remove.
Now this is what EOS G-206 Gray looks like when worn:
In terms of color and design, EOS G-206 in Gray is a lot like EOS G-211 (Read review HERE) except the gray part is lighter and the black outer rim is thinner. These small details actually make the former look more noticeable in person and more vibrant in photos. But other than that, they’re basically the same. 🙂
