Ok, going back to this EOS contact lens in G-211 (Gray) that Valerie of Dull to Doll sent me some time ago. I remember reading a comment from CJ Escuadero, one of my readers. In that particular comment she said she’s trying to look for a gray-colored pair of lenses. Now here’s another strong contender to make it even harder for you to decide which design to get. 🙂
Hey there ladies! I haven’t been blogging for days now and it’s not that I didn’t try or anything. I had a lot of extra time and I did try to write but it seemed like my brain couldn’t come up with anything. I just didn’t have the drive to write about anything.. I didn’t want to give you, my dear readers, half-assed reviews so I didn’t force myself. Instead, I took those days to chillax and do what I really loved doing – playing with makeup. Now I feel like I’m back from a rejuvenating vacay and totally ready to flood you with new posts. 😉

COLOR & DESIGN:
As you can see, EOS G-211 in Gray has this pixilated black outer rim gradating to a more subtle light gray, almost white, dots that becomes farther apart as it reaches the center. From the looks of it, I thought the design and color would look faint and unnoticeable when worn but I guess I was wrong though.
When worn, the lens deepens both the outer rim and the center of the eyes even more while it highlights the middle rim. EOS G-211 gives emphasis to this [middle] part by completely brightening it. Imagine how you draw a white exclamation mark on a colored surface to make it look glossy? It somehow replicates that effect at it makes the eyes look gleaming, to me at least. Although some people find it slightly intimidating and creepy because of its unnatural color. But hey, that’s the purpose of gray colored lenses, duh! To change/enhance one’s look, right? 🙂
Bottom line is, if you wish to have more natural-looking eyes but, at the same time, give it some color, I suggest staying browns like EOS A3 in Bambi Brown (Read review HERE). Simply because, even though this EOS G-211 in Gray is absolutely gorgeous, it’s too attention-grabbing for some.
There honestly isn’t much to say about EOS G-211’s size. Basically, its 14.5 mm diameter is just about the exact same size as my pupil. You’ll see on the second to the last photo below that when worn side by side with my normal eyes, there is no apparent difference in size. Great for me because I have nothing but pure disapproval for large, doll-like lenses – they totally scare the heck out of me. So yeah, this one’s really nice. Definitely my type in terms of size. 🙂
COMFORT & VISION:
I know you all know by now how this category is important for me. Believe me, if it’s uncomfortable to wear, I won’t be using it in the first place – let alone blog about it. Having eye irritation is definitely not a walk in the park for it is very bothersome, to say the least. I will never again use cheap eye makeup products or wear contact lenses from shady suppliers.
Ok, I was carried away.. again. Let’s get back to this pair right here. 🙂 Throughout my use, I did not encounter any problem with my EOS G-211. There was no discomfort or irritation except for the slight redness when first used. If you ever you’re having trouble too at first when using new pairs, try rinsing it with contact lens solution several times before finally putting it on – this works like magic for me. Personally, it felt like this pair is slightly thicker than my EOS Dark Ice (Read review HERE) which makes it easier to remove but a bit harder to get used to. Inherently, what I like about it is that even with the thickness, it doesn’t feel uncomfortable or scratchy on the eyes.
As for the vision, like I said before, as long as the grade is correct, I can roll with it. But another thing commendable about this pair is that despite being thicker than usual, it doesn’t dry out fast or cause blurry vision even after 5 hours.
Now this is what EOS V-202 Gray looks like when worn:
This photo may look a bit off but please bear with me.. my editor (a.k.a ze boyfriend) didn’t have much time to edit it. He just started reviewing for the CPA Boards today and I’m so proud of him. This means we won’t be able to hang out as much but the way we see it, this makes us one step closer to “our forever”. Talk about being cheesy. LOL! <3
