In one way or another, I think my rectangular red-framed glasses has become my distinguishing accessory. I’d like to think that it suits my small face really well – you’re free to correct me if my wrong though. HAHA! But during special occasions or when I feel like dressing up (READ: experiment with makeup), I prefer wearing my contact lenses as they help complete the specific look I’m going for.
Prepare yourselves for a back-to-back contact lens review tonight to make up for the lost time – that is if I don’t fall asleep after dinner. πŸ˜› Let’s start with this brown pair because, as you all know, brown is my comfort zone. πŸ™‚
Brand: EOS (ICE II)
Water content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Diameter: 14 mm
Duration: 1 year disposable
I love it because it’s brown. No questions asked. HAHA. If you remember my Dark Ice in Gray post (Read review HERE) back then, this is just the same – only this one is brown, duh. It has a dark brown outer rim that gives the eyes more depth and intensity but light brown arrays going the center that brightens up the eyes. I like how the color stops before it reaches the center and allows the true color of the eyes to shine through.

Again, the different degrees of brown makes it look more intense yet very subtle and natural. It’s noticeable but not as eye-catching as grays and blues. I love how I can wear this with very minimal eye makeup as it doesn’t wash me off. Perfect for school days! πŸ™‚

My golden rule when it comes to contact lenses, for my personal use at least: nothing above 15mm! I’m not a fan of the weird anime eyes. πŸ˜› Thankfully this particular pair is almost the same size as my pupil. Well, just slightly smaller than my pupil. That said, there is absolutely no enlarging effect – no creepy doll eyes. Although it has a dark brown outer rim that creates the illusion that it’s bigger than it actually is.
Like I said, it is smaller than my pupil so I can sometimes feel the rim of the contact lens despite it being thin. It’s bothersome but it rarely happens so I’m fine with it. Other than that, I didn’t experience any irritation, redness or discomfort with this pair. I do, however, get blurry vision but that only means I need to clean it more thoroughly with my solution. I really like to wear this when I’m going to use public transportation for it doesn’t feel dry even with long hours of wear time.
What ICE II in Brown looks when worn:
It looks very natural, right? However, I think the light brown part looks almost moss green on my eyes, I dunno why. But in all cases, I still think it’s very subtle. Oh look, it comes with this cute piggy cases too. They’re kissing each other and the girl piggy is “kinilig”. Adorable!<3
