When tasked to run household errands, I usually don’t have a lot of time to do my makeup before stepping out of the house. Plus, why put tons of effort when I’m just going to pay the bills or do the groceries, right? As long as I don’t look like I just literally rolled out of bed, I think I’ll be fine.
Uhm, I’ll let you in a little secret. For a quick way to perk up my look, I just apply tint on the cheeks and lips, powder a bit, quickly fill in my brows and then I’m out. This usually takes me less than 3-5 minutes to do. Easy, huh? Meet my current multi-tasking bud, Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in PK002.
Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint promotes moist & shiny cherry lips with a creamy, smooth texture. It has moisture content that moisturizes lips for long hours, vitamin and mineral provide volume and healthy lips.
EH Fresh Cherry Tint comes in a cute pink box with cherry patters. It’s cute, of course.. what did you expect? It’s from Etude House. *wink! I appreciate how it comes with complete English translations for the directions for use and other necessary details on the box. Inside is a 3-inch curvaceous, hot pink tube housing the tint itself. It’s small, light and it fits in any pouch. It is very handy and definitely travel-efficient, if you ask me.
This actually comes in 4 vibrant shades: OR201 – Cherry Peach, PK001 – Cherry Pink, PK002 – Cherry Hot Pink and RD301 – Cherry Red. This one tight here is PK002. It looks awfully bright and intimidating from the packaging. Who wouldn’t think twice about getting a neon pink tint for everyday use, right? Fortunately, the shade is more toned down when used. You’ll see. 🙂
It has an average-sized doe foot applicator which makes it a lot easier to apply and spread out. I like how I get better control when using a doe foot applicator. It is not the most hygienic applicator there is but, personally, I think I can live with this – I just won’t let anyone borrow it. 🙂
Moving on, the tip of the applicator is fairly soft and it picks up just the right amount of product. I just can’t stand having a huge blob of excess product on the tip of my applicator and then putting it all back in after use. Eekk! So I’m definitely giving the applicator a thumbs up!
Texture-wise, I’d have to say that EH Fresh Cherry Tint is somewhere between Lioele Blooming Pop (Read review HERE)
and Tony Moly Fruit Princess Gloss (Read review HERE)
. It is slightly thicker than normal tints but not as rich as traditional lip glosses. It’s very smooth and light. Come to think of it, it’s a bit milky too as it glides on effortlessly and leaves a faint cherry scent. Like strawberries, I don’t like cherries as well but this one’s smell I can tolerate. Good thing it tastes nothing like cherries once applied on the lips!

As mentioned earlier, it is very easy to apply but it takes a while before the pigment really stains the skin or lips. I personally like to leave it on for 2-3 minutes – while doing my makeup – before blotting the excess with a tissue paper. The longer you let it sit, the more intense the color turns out to be. But like I said, it’s nothing like the neon pink tube it comes with. On the contrary, it is rather very wearable and subtle, on my lips at least. I like how it evens out the color of my lips without looking overly done. Basically, it’s my lips only better. Perfect for casual, laidback days. 🙂
It is a tint so therefore, it is expected to have a good staying power. This lasts for hours even with heavy eating and drinking. I rarely need to retouch! Although I find it a bit drying so a good lip balm is a must when using that to achieve that naturally kissable-looking smackers. I would really recommend this to teens! It’s affordable, easy to use and needs very little skills in makeup application. You can’t go wrong with a good tint, girls. 😉
