As consumers, we are led to believe that the more expensive a product is, the better it is. Same goes for skincare products. This is generally the case but mind you, this is not ALWAYS true. But as a beauty blogger, I have developed a keen sense of skepticism as I am exposed to more products than average girls of my age. I am privileged to be able to try a lot of skincare products from both high-end and drugstore brands and I can tell you this much, some drugstore products actually deliver better results. And Garnier is one of the brands that are on the top of my list.
Discover New Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream, the new complete whitening night cream from Garnier with potent ingredients from natural origin. Wake up for flawless fair skin. Pure Lemon Essence and Natural Peeling Fruit Extracts help provide an intensive exfoliation overnight. Long Dan Extract with Vitamin C help lighten the skin tone and reduce dark spots.
I’m no stranger to the brand. I’ve been using and reviewing their products for quite some time now. This is probably my 5th or 6th product review for this year alone. I’ve expressed how much I loved their facial foams especially their Light Intensive Brightening Scrub (Read more HERE)
which I’ve been repurchasing for months. Now, I’m back with another product from the same line that complements the scrub really well, my current ultimate whitening moisturizer – *drum roll please*
– Garnier Light Complete Multi-Action Whitening Cream Night Restore. It’s both affordable and effective!
Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream is housed in a hefty glass jar. It’s quite bulky but at least it’s durable. To protect it from dust and dirt, it has a screw-lid cap that closes securely and without any leak. For something that costs below Php 300, the packaging is rather impressive. You don’t get a cheap ol’ plastic tub; instead you get a thick, sturdy jar. And yes, like all other Garnier products, this one is affordable too. I’m a big fan of the brand. Even a student can afford it.
Inside the jar is a milky white cream that’s rich but runny at the same time. Consistency-wise, it is very light which makes it easy to massage and spread on the skin. It has a faint zesty scent to it but don’t worry, it’s not overwhelming. I, for one, prefer unscented skincare products but I’d gladly make an exemption for this one – it smells so refreshing! <3
Upon application, this Night Restore Cream feels a little bit oily but because it’s light, it’s easily absorbed by the skin in just a matter of minutes leaving nothing but a dewy glow. It doesn’t feel sticky or greasy at any rate.
I have combination oily skin so I need a product that’s immensely moisturizing but doesn’t feel heavy that would trigger more pil production – and that’s exactly what Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream does for me. It is able to cater to both the oily areas and the dry patches of my face without feel heavy on the skin even when layered several times. Best of all it didn’t cause any breakouts! So unless you have extremely oily skin, I would definitely recommend this.
See? You can hardly notice any trace of cream or oiliness.
Ever since my quick Puerto Galera trip with boyfriend a few months ago, I’ve been bending over backwards trying to get my old skin tone back. I don’t want to see my foundations and powders go to waste just because they aren’t the perfect match for me anymore! So the past couple of months I’ve been dedicating my time to trying products that would hopefully lighten my skin color. My recent RevLite treatment did the trick for my hideous pimple marks so the next order of business was brightening everything all together.
Now that’s when I came to know Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream. I’ve been using it for more or less a month now and I can really see the gradual change in my skin tone. Not only does it really whiten my skin but it also helps in evening out my skin tone. In that short period of time I was able to get my old skin tone back. Yehey! My skin now looks even, more radiant and whiter without looking dry and patchy. Given how affordable and effective Garnier Light Complete Night Restore Cream is, makes it my ultimate whitening moisturizer. Of course, it is truly worth trying. Two thumbs up! 🙂
