If you’ve been frequenting my blog and other social media pages, you probably already know that I’ve been thoroughly enjoying every single product from my past BDJ Boxes. I’ve done several reviews on the things I loved the most and well, this Garnier Light Gentle Exfoliating Scrub is no exception. πŸ™‚
Product Description:
(Taken from BDJ Box pamphlet)
Garnier Light Gentle Exfoliating Scrub will help you get that radiant glow. Its Pure Lemon Essence and Micro beads effectively cleanse your skin for optimum brightening result. Use this daily along with Garnier Skin Naturals Daily Moisturizer for best results.

Time and time again, a lot of beauty-related articles have explained with tremendous details the importance of regularly exfoliating the skin. Basically, this simple procedure removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores to help newer, more radiant skin to show. What people usually forget to explain is that over-exfoliation could do more harm than good – so does picking the wrong kind of exfoliator. Exfoliators with big and grainy beads could most likely create a tear on the skin surface especially when too much pressure is used in scrubbing. This results to redness, scrapes/wounds, irritation and believe it or not, even breakout as this could dehydrate our skin.
So our goal is to remove the layer of dead skin cells that’s covering the new layer as gentle as possible. Now that’s what I like about this Garnier Light Gentle Exfoliating Scrub. It’s very gentle to the skin and it foams up nicely – just how I like it. It turns beige which indicates that it also removes stubborn makeup residue that my makeup remover might have missed. The best part is that it has tiny beads that slightly dissolve when in contact with water. It greatly helps remove the top, most damaged layer of my skin very gently and at the same time, it unclogs my pores.
That being said, I can say that it thoroughly cleanses the skin and little by little, it exfoliates the surface of the skin too. Also, it smells really fresh. πŸ™‚ However, because of my face cleansing routine, I did notice my skin feel a bit stretched and tight after use.
For me to repurchase something immediately after it runs out even when I have tons more of other products to review only means one thing – I genuinely love it! And as of writing, I’m already halfway through my third Garnier Light Gentle Exfoliating Scrub tube. Now can you imagine how much my skin loves this product? πŸ™‚ Although now that my skin is going through a rough patch, I use this together with a much stronger toner. A little AHA and BHA toner to the rescue. ;D
I honestly think Garnier Light Gentle Exfoliating Scrub is an incredible product but like what I always say, what works for me might not work for you and vice versa. So to be a little more helpful, let me recommend this to those whom I think would appreciate this more. Like I said, this could be a bit drying to the skin so I would strongly recommend this to those with normal, combination and even oily skin type. However, if you have dry to extremely dry skin, I think this could only dry out your skin skin further. For dry skin, I suggest you stay with milder facial washes like Godiva LicoWhite Facial Wash (Read review HERE).
