Almost a week ago, Ms. Jhai from Red Jhelli was sweet enough to send me a free pair of GEO contact lenses to review. I’m not new to wearing contact lenses though. I’ve always had poor eyesight since my elementary days. I even remember wearing a pair of dorky glasses during Grade 6. As in a purple round-rimmed glasses with a matching purple lace. D-O-R-K!
Anyway, I forgot to inform Ms. Jhai that I wear graded lens so she sent me a plano (no grade) pair of lenses. My bad! :/

Before I go in depth with the review, can I just show you how to correctly open the bottles that contain the lenses? Why, you may ask? Because the first time I got GEO lenses that came in the same bottles, I actually broke, not one, but two newly manicured nails trying to open them. Yes, I’m that careless sometimes.
I just didn’t want more nails to be broken because of these bottles. LOL! So here..
1. Use a knife to lift the blue cap. It is connected to the stainless steel seal which makes it impossible to lift using your hand. (This is how I broke my nail, BTW)
2. Completely remove the blue cap and the steel part that adjoins it to the rest of the seal. Well, it’s easier if you remove the metal seal all at once. 🙂
3. Again, use a knife to remove the remaining seal. Please don’t use your fingers because they are sharp enough to cut you. Lastly, remove the white rubber cap. Violaaa! Your new GEO lenses can now be used. Enjoy! 🙂
My little sister wearing the lenses. Check out her whole look here.
This was the first time she wore contact lenses. I had her wear them so I can take better pictures. I also tried them on, though.
Close Up with Flash.
Now, I’m wearing the same pair of lenses. See? I’m a better photographer than my sister. LOL!
With Natural Lighting.
I’m not really a fan of circle lenses. I prefer 14mm diameter size when it comes to my everyday contact lens since it looks more natural. GEO Xtra in WT-B84, on the other hand, gives a really doll-like look. Almost like Lady Gaga on her Bad Romance music video. Perfect for creating an anime inspired look! 🙂
The lenses are super thin. I almost forgot I was wearing contacts lens! But when I first wore it, I experienced a bit of discomfort (my eyes are really sensitive). I kept mumbling, “don’t swell up” over and over. After a minute or two, the discomfort was gone. No red eyes or swelling. YEY!
Plus, I didn’t have to put solution on my eyes throughout the day because the lenses never felt dry.
I wore this for almost 6 hours but I didn’t experience any dizziness. I had to wear glasses, though, since it was not graded. But all in all, there was no fogginess.
I love the color! It’s not striking even under direct light but it still gives you that needed extra oomph. The color is very subtle and natural-looking.
Don’t forget to check out their shop! Click HERE.
Buy Again? Yes! Contact lenses are more convenient to use than eyeglasses. Plus, it gives me that extra confidence points. LOL!
My Verdict: 4.5/5
** I’ll compare this GEO lens with the ones I got from Executive Optical next time 🙂
