Like I said before, I’ve always wanted to try Cure Natural Aqua Gel, the famous exfoliation from Japan. I first heard of it from Bubzbeauty in YT. Well, if you’ve read my review on Tony Moly Real Lemon Juice Peeling Gel (Read it HERE), you’d know how much of a disappointment that was. It was very ineffective and pretty much useless. So when I was introduced to this Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel, I was rather skeptic. Like the former, it promises to give the same effect as Cure. Thankfully this one actually works! <3
Product Description:
(Taken from Hayan Korea’s E-Brochure)
HAYAN Crystallizing Peeling Gel (100g)
Smoothens and brightens skin tone as it gently peels off dead skin away
Benefits: Gently exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal a radiant and even skin tone. Oatmeal extract locks moisture in plus the B Vitamins and minerals have an anti-sebum effect. The gel’s natural components gently lift away dirt and impurities to reveal skin that glows like porcelain.
Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel, as you can see, comes in a white box with a very minimalist design. This one has a mint green color to set it aside from the other products. I always complain on how the brand’s choice in packaging is too simple and how they could’ve made it chic or girly in a way. And you know what; I recently saw that the newer products and serums have fresh, colorful packaging. Plus points for the effort to improve! πŸ˜€
Just like Hayan Solution Foam Cleanser (Read review HERE), this Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel is housed in an easy-squeeze tube with a sealed narrow nozzle that helps ensure that the product is indeed new and untouched. This might sound petty but it’s important for me especially when it comes to skincare products. Also, the nozzle gives me total control on how much product I dispense.
Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel is a very fluid gel at first, consistency-wise. After massaging it on the face for a couple of minutes, it then turns into a bunch of dry eraser dust-like particles – these are the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin that’s blocking the newer, more radiant layer of skin to show. It’s gentle on the skin as it doesn’t have any grainy particles like other scrubs and it doesn’t leave the skin feeling dry and stretched too like other peeling products. Overall, it’s easy to spread and massage on the face. It has a mild soapy smell but since it’s very faint, it can go unnoticed.
After washing and drying the face, take an appropriate amount and smooth it over your skin avoiding the eye and mouth area. Gently massage product into the skin for 2-3 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.

TIPS: Apply it on your face and massage in a circular motion to make sure that you don’t miss any area. Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel doesn’t work well when applied wet so make absolutely sure that the face is completely dry before massaging this on. Else, the product would be useless.

Here’s one lesson I learned the hard way. The instant results are very enticing, I know. But it’s always best to follow instructions and to not overuse the product. I was so thrilled the first time I used it so I decided to use every single night for a whole week. Then when I tried using my minty Soap & Glory Rub Your Nose In It (Read review HERE) that used to have a very tolerable cooling sensation, my skin became really hot and irritated. Long story short, even if Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel is extremely gentle on the skin, it has the tendency to still remove too much – making my skin thinner – when used more than 3 times a week.
Here’s why I love this so much. Almost immediately after use, I noticed my skin became exceptionally soft and supple. I love running my finger across my cheek just because it’s super smooth. Also, it’s fascinating to see dead skin cells turn into gooey eraser dust-like particles. By removing these, my skin instantly becomes more radiant and slightly brighter! If you’re having doubts about the whitening effect, I dare you to go to the nearest Hayan stall and try it at the back of one of your hands then compare it with the other. That’s how I was convinced to get this. LOL!
Although the instant skin brightening and skin softness is temporary, I did notice my skin color even out and my pimple marks lighten significantly with continuous use. I’ve been using this for more than a month and the results are very apparent. I’d definitely vouch for Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel’s effectiveness in all categories! πŸ˜€
I was able to get a couple of Cure samples from Sample Room and let me tell you this much, based from those samples, I’d say that the short-term effects are almost the same – soft and supple skin, less marks, brighter skin and even complexion. With all honesty, I think Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel is a great alternative for Cure Natural Aqua Gel for those in a tight budget.
Bottom line is that I would really recommend this product to anyone regardless of their skin type. This is honestly my favorite from the brand – next would be Auto Eyebrow (Read review HERE). It’s affordable, effective and very gentle on the skin. I just hope I had major skin blemish that translates well on photos so I can show you how good this really is. <3
