As promised, I’m back with yet another amazing product from the same brand that brought one of my favorite mascara removers, Heroine Make. Oh, if you haven’t seen my review on the Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover
, do check it out.
I personally prefer liquid eyeliners over pencils simply because I love how the former is able to create an intense bold line that I want. Pencils are great for subtle and sultry looks but if what you want is something strong and precise, liquid eyeliner is the perfect tool.. and this new Kiss Me Heroine Make Impact Liquid Eyeliner is currently on the top of my list.
Heroine Make Impact Liquid Eyeliner comes in a regal violet tube with gold markings. It’s slim, travel-efficient and it twist-locks tightly so I don’t have to worry about it accidentally opening in my bag. It comes with a thin brush that is soft and doesn’t drag on the lids during application. Because of the flexible applicator; I can bend and tilt it to get variations in thickness and intensity.
I particularly like the consistency of this Heroine Make Impact Liquid Eyeliner. It is liquid, yes, but it isn’t too runny so there’s less chance it gets into my eyes before it dries out – it sounds petty but this happens to me more times than I care to admit. It dries fast, too, but unlike cheap liners, it doesn’t become chunky nor does it start to crack when dry. I love how this black eyeliner is really
black, bold and intense – not like the dark grayish tone others give. The pigmentation is simply superb.
As with all liquid eyeliners, application can be tricky but once you get the hang of it, you can line your eyes in a jiffy. It takes practice, of course. Now no eyeliner review of mine would be complete without a good old rub and water test, right?
Here’s when it starts to become really fun and utterly impressive. After letting the eyeliner dry for about a minute, I started rubbing it off with my thumb but to no avail. My forearm started to become red due to the rubbing, still, nothing happens. Then I placed the swatches under running water. Still, not even a trace of pigment budged. Everything remained intact. Lastly, I did the rub test again but this time, the swatches were already dampened. Only then did I get smudges from the swatch. The eyeliner flaked and transferred on the tissue I used. Surprisingly, there was still no mess on the original swatches. The black pigment did not bleed at all which really impressed the hell out of me.
However, when it comes to extremely oily eyelids, Heroine Make Impact Liquid Eyeliner has the tendency to transfer a bit on the upper lid area so I suggest using a primer or sealer of some sort. For those with normal, dry or even moderately oily lids, I’m sure you won’t have any problem with this. If anything, I think you’ll be obsessing over Heroine Make Impact Liquid Eyeliner once you give it a try.
