This could be used as a separate eye makeup remover at night for stubborn waterproof mascara but since my current makeup remover does a pretty neat job already, I prefer this for “spot removing” when I get a boo-boo while doing my makeup instead. Unlike my overall makeup remover, this Heroine Make Mascara Remover can really get into small areas without messing the whole makeup look. This sure is handy when you’re practicing your eyeliner skills. *wink!
Don’t just hate it when you’re already done with your makeup but once you put on your mascara for the finishing touch, everything goes downward spiral just because you blink too fast or too hard after application? Annoying, isn’t it? Whenever this happens to me, I usually redo everything thing from step one. But only when I have time to spare. When I’m in a hurry, I just remove everything out of frustration and muster enough confidence to go out with bare face. HAHA.
But that was waaaay before quick and easy removers are introduced in the market. One particular remover that has been very handy for me ever since it landed on my vanity space is this new Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover. If you don’t know, Heroine Make is a Japanese brand, sister brand of Pixy, that recently reached the Philippine shore. They have a wide range of products that are great for beginners and pros alike.
The packaging resembles that of a typical mascara tube and inside it is a slim plastic wand with narrow bristles. I can’t describe the packaging as a whole without dropping the word “kawaii”. It’s very cute and travel-friendly as well. If you can fit a mascara in your purse, I’m sure you’ll have space for this, too. Inside the tube is the remover itself. It is transparent and consistency-wise, it is almost gel-like but slightly runnier than regular gel. It is light and the wand picks up just enough product. It’s very easy to use. Just run the wand through the area you need to remove makeup from, leave it for a few seconds and then wipe it off.
Let’s put Heroine Make Mascara Remover to the test, shall we?
The name says mascara remover but I thought I’d show you how well it works in removing different kinds of eyeliner, too. No camera trick, no edit. Look at how easy and fast the Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara Remover removed the eyeliners and mascaras. With just one swipe of regular tissue, not a single trace of makeup was left.
I don’t know about you but I’m thoroughly impressed! There’s not a shadow of a doubt about its effectiveness when it comes to quick and hassle-free makeup removal. This is the first product I’ve tried from the brand and honestly, I’ve been hooked ever since. I can’t wait to share more about the brand in the coming weeks! <3
