Like my Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash (Read review HERE), I bought this from
Fabshopaholic. Though this one is from their most recent crazy sale. I know, I know, MAC cosmetics are
usually overpriced here in the Philippines. So much actually that it makes me
cringe every time I compare the prices abroad. But guess what, I got this tube
of lipstick for only Php 860 = USD 20(I had to act super fast though since a
handful of makeup junkies wanted to reserve the same lipstick)…
whereas the normal selling price of this here is around Php 1000+. Now thatโ€™s
fair pricing! Rest assured that all their products are authentic and in no way
a class A Singapore replica like most online shops claim. Ate Myla bought this
from Canada, I think. So for incredibly affordable high end makeup, head over
to Fabshopaholic! ๐Ÿ˜€
FYI, I was not paid to advertise the shop. ๐Ÿ™‚

I didnโ€™t realize how much Iโ€™m missing out until I got my
first ever MAC lipstick. This seriously got me thinking; how was I able to call
myself a makeup junkie before without even owning at least one MAC lipstick?
Now I understand what the hype about MAC lippies is about. They never
disappoint; especially Pro LongwearLipCreme. If you yearn for kiss-proof
smackers, then youโ€™re in for a treat! *wink
You could just imagine how excited I was when a package came
to our house with Ate Mylaโ€™s name on the package just few days after reserving
the item. I actually broke my nail as I opened the package! After seeing how
pretty the pink shade was, I was in serious dilemma of whether I should try it
on right away or wait after I take pictures of it for my blog. LOL!I finally decided to control my
excitement and wait.
Dear Diary is this pretty bubblegum (almost fuchsia) pink shade that looks
very girly. It is very creamy so glides nicely on the lips. Unlike the normal bullet type packaging of MAC lipsticks, Pro
LongwearLipCremes are housed in a slimmer cylindrical tube which makes it
easier to tote around (not like youโ€™ll
need it to retouch throughout the day though).

Left: Normal Lighting Right: Under Direct Sunlight
When MAC said long wearing, they werenโ€™t kidding. The exact
shade of pink may not last for 10 hours or so but the color is still really
there! I tried wearing for my 8:30am class and up until 5 in the afternoon, I
can still see the color. The only retouch I did was at around 6pm and I just
lightly dabbed the lipstick on my upper lip to even out the color. And thatโ€™s
it, no more need to excuse myself during a date just to check my lipstick in
the little girlsโ€™ room.
Despite of the matte texture and amazing staying power, MAC
Pro LongwearLipCreme doesnโ€™t feel heavy or stick at all! It doesnโ€™t dry up the
lips so wearing it every day will not be a problem. Heck, Iโ€™ve been using this
non-stop for days now and Iโ€™m still loving it. Compared to MACโ€™s matte lipstick
(Read review HERE), the formulation ofMACโ€™s
Pro LongwearLipCremeis definitely better. Iโ€™m not just talking about the
lasting ability of this hefty little product but also the
effect it has on the lips after hours and hours of usage. Fortunately for those
girls suffering from dry lips because of the weather, Pro LongwearLipCreme does
not have the tendency of settling on the lines unlike MAC matte lipsticks.
Cool, huh?
Heavily swatched.
CON? I canโ€™t really think of anything I dislike about the
product since I think the steep price is justified by its ability of to deliver
its claims and live up to my expectations.
See you on my nest
P.S. Iโ€™ll finish
reviewing all my newly boughtexpensive babies and product comparisons before
going through my drug store makeup finds.
