The way I see it; I can never have enough makeup or brushes. LOL! Simply because I keep discovering new products that I want to try. And obviously, I can’t resist the urge to buy them especially when I read how awesome the product is from other bloggers. Oh well, it’s like what Jannah of Life is Beautiful said in one of her tweets months ago, being a blogger is expensive. No, I’m not a stalker. LOL! I actually followed her on twitter even before I started blogging. πŸ˜€

Anyway, I heard this particular brand from Ate Myla of Fabshopaholic and I immediately searched for it online. Most sellers sell this for around Php 1250-1500. I canvassed for the cheapest one available, like I always do, and came across Stuff in Style. It was out of stock but I was willing to wait because it was so much cheaper. By the way, I got this for only Php 930! πŸ™‚
Apparently, this line/brand of brushes is created by one of the Pixiwoo sisters from YouTube. I’ve been recently hooked to their tutorials. I watch them almost everyday in the past month so I decided to try their brushes as well. πŸ™‚

One rather unusual looking brush pouch.
This is what it looks like when opened. On the left side, there are spare slots for other brushes.

Look at how the pouch turns into a brush holder. Cool, right? πŸ™‚

Top view. The brushes are really dense. There are only few spaces/gaps in between the bristles.
Now let’s look at the individual brushes.
BTW, a quick shoutout to my little sister. Thanks for teaching me how to use Photoscape! I now know how to edit pictures. LOL!

Ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation.

Delicately applies highlighter to contour or create sheer soft-focus finish.

Precision cut to effortlessly conceal problem areas; or use with lipstick for long lasting shape and definition.

Use with liquid foundation to build custom coverage.

Again, I bought this using my own money. This may look like a paid/sponsored advertisement but NAAHH, I’m just trying to help their newly created FB page. πŸ˜‰

– I just love how multi-purpose the pouch is!
– If I’m not mistaken, the handles are made of aluminum which pretty much explains why they are so light.
-This maybe the softest brush set I own. They are super soft! In no way can they feel rough on the face.
– The two-tone bristles make it look really classy.
– I’ve washed them for like 3-4 times already and I’m glad to say that there was absolutely no shedding nor bleeding. I don’t know why but I noticed that this set dries few hours faster than my other brushes.
– Each brush is labeled on the side for convenience.
– The shape of the contour brush is just right for applying blush on the apples of the cheeks.
– I like how pointed the tip of the foundation brush is. It makes applying liquid foundation in the corners of the mouth and sides of the nose easier and more precise. I just find it a bit small so I usually use it to apply my L’oreal Magic Base Primer instead.
– The detailer brush doubles as lip brush.
– Lastly, the buffing brush, I use it when setting my foundation with powder. Its great for that but knowing me, I try to use my brushes in every way possible. LOL! Yes, I tried it as a stippling brush. And let me tell you, it’s not made for that. It’s not flimsy enough. What I mean is, when I apply foundation in a stippling manner, I want the brush to be able to “fight back” or won’t bend easily. Bottom line is.. I really need to get a stippling brush. LOL!

– I find the detailer brush to be relatively smaller compared to other concealer brushes. It makes it harder for my to conceal my dark circles. It still works perfectly for spot concealing though.
– Since I use the contour brush for both contour and blush, I noticed that the brush tend to retain most of the blush product on its bristles. Needless to say, the bristles accumulate a bit of pink stains after a while which makes it harder to wash.

Buy Again? Even if I don’t really use the detailer brush, the other 3 brushes makes it worth the purchase! So, yeah. I’ll be buying again! Actually, I’m already eyeing their stippling brush. LOL! I’ll buy it once my wallet recovers from the damage my shopping has done to it. πŸ˜€
My Verdict: 5/5!
