It’s the end of the month again! You know the drill, ladies and gents. It’s now time for me to share my most used and abused products of the month. Not only that, I also get to share some random things I’ve enjoyed throughout the month of September.

In blog sense, this month was a bit low point for me. I wasn’t able to post reviews and update my social accounts as much but in my personal life, September was absolutely fun-filled and fast-paced. I got to do a lot of new things, enjoy activities that I never thought I’d appreciate and most of all, I got to bond with my family more which is why I totally love this month. Anyway, I don’t want to bore you with other stuff not related to related so let’s proceed with the quick rundown of my monthly top picks.

OCC Lip Tar in Melange (See swatches and review HERE)
I so love this! If you check out my review, you’ll see the swatches of my OCC Lip Tar set and you’ll realize just how crazily pigmented they are. Plus, they stay on for hours and hours even after I eat A LOT! I just can’t emphasize how great this product is. Vintage was my initial favorite but after trying Melange which is a beige/shade that gives the most natural “my lips only better” look, I just couldn’t put it down. It’s currently my everyday lip color. πŸ˜‰
Etude House Precious Mineral BBDation in Honey Beige (Read review HERE)
This offers one of the best coverage for a BB cream. It’s rich and cream but surprisingly, it’s not sticky or heavy at all. It has the coverage of sheer to medium foundations but again, not as heavy on the skin. It’s amazing how it is able to cover pimple marks. Another commendable thing about this is its staying power. I can go on an entire day without retouching in school when I use this. It stays put and doesn’t slide off even with constant sweating. I just wish they could come up with more shades to cater those with darker skin.
Glory of New York Mineral Dual Foundation in #29 (Read review HERE)
I just hit pan on my GNY Mineral Dual Foundation. Boo! Ever since I started using this, I haven’t touched any other powder for personal use – I use the Collection Cosmetic Lasting Powder when doing other people’s makeup though. Like the EH Precious Mineral BB Dation, this, too, offers amazing coverage and incredible staying power. It keeps my face matte and oil-free for hours that is why for my everyday makeup, I prefer using this and the EH Precious Mineral BB Dation for a hassle-free, natural-looking makeup that can keep up with my busy school days.
Hayan Aesthetic Snail Serum (Read review HERE)
If you’ve read my review, I wouldn’t have to justify why this is on my list. πŸ™‚ This snail serum is very light, watery and almost scent-free. It is glides on the skin easily, absorbed fairly quickly and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. No instant effects but after using it for 2 months, I can say that it is very effective in helping the skin recover from recent breakouts as it promotes faster skin recovery. Simply put, it prevents new pimples from leaving any mark or discoloration on the skin. Ain’t that great? It’s affordable too! πŸ™‚
Shiseido Ibuki Line (Read my BDJ Shieseido-exclusive box HERE)
After emptying my Hayan Snail Serum and Intensive Cream, I told you I’ll be trying out a new skincare line. Well, it happened to be the Japanese brand’s newest line for girls in their 20’s-30’s, the new Ibuki line. I’ve been using this for almost 2 weeks and I can really see the difference. Let’s just say that whatever Hayan Snail Serum can do in 2 months, Shiseido Ibuki can do in less than a month. πŸ˜‰ But, of course, it’s much more expensive. What do you expect? It’s Shiseido. πŸ™‚
Naked Minerals Retractable Lip Brush
OCC Lip Tar topped my list… of course, a lip brush also made it to the cut. My current favorite? Naked Minerals Lip Brush. I like how convenient it is to tote around – it’s retractable, what do you expect. It is fairly small compared to my professional length brushes and it has its own cap so I won’t have to worry about it messing up my makeup kit. Also, the bristles are very soft. It doesn’t feel like I’m exfoliating my lips. LOL! I’m not sure why but it’s easier to rinse off pigment from this brush than from any other brushes.
Ayala Malls eGC’s
Last week I had a quick Php5,000-worth eGC shopping spree giveaway on Twitter courtesy of Ayala Land. I already announced the winner.. but what you guys didn’t know was that the top 3 bloggers who have the most feedback/tweets also got to win an additonal 5k eGC. Yup, I got a total of Php10,000-worth of shopping money from the event. I can’t wait to show you what I got and some more things. By the way, thank you to those who joined. πŸ™‚
Last but definitely not the least,
Our short film for school – Vin Rouge
This. This was what’s been keeping me busy for the past weeks. For our final output, we have to come up with a unique storyline. As if that’s not challenging enough, we then have to integrate management accounting problems to it. Simple? Not really because what’s at stake is only bragging right but also final exam exemption which is such a big deal for us. The awards night is on Saturday.. I really hope we win. If we do win, I’ll tell you how our story went. <3

That’s about it! Those are my top picks for the month of September, what’s yours?:)
