I had a very busy Saturday. During the morning, I had to do my cousin’s makeup (Read post HERE) then I went to Makati for a makeup workshop. Yes, Ms. Leah, a professional bridal makeup artist and instructor of The Makeup Corner 1 was kind enough to offer me a seat in her batch 11 basic makeup workshop. 🙂
The workshop took place at Red Talent Studio in Legaspi Village Makati. There were only few of us so the atmosphere was rather intimate. Just a small number of participants in a well-lit studio; great setup for a workshop. We even had a short self-introduction before the beginning of the workshop to make everyone feel at ease.
They provided us with a handout with all the basic guidelines about skincare and makeup.
Handout and makeups were provided but we had to bring our own brushes. I didn’t get a chance to wash them after doing Janelle’s makeup. LOL!
But for those who don’t have their own brush sets, Suesh duo brush sets and other makeups from Makeupholics were available there.
Here’s the lovely Ms. Leah teaching us how to apply foundation and the correct way of creating eyebrows. One thing I’m really desperate to learn; creating the PERFECT brows.
There were more or less 11 of us and Ms. Leah had 2 assistants to make sure everyone can follow.
After creating a flawless canvass, we were taught 4 different looks.
(1) Basic Day Makeup
(2) How to transform the day look to night look with just one shade of eyeshadow
(I love this the most. It’s very easy to do and useful to everyone!)
(3) Red Lips
and of course,
(4) Smokey Eye Makeup
If you’re looking for the easiest and fastest way to familiarize yourselves with the essential makeup tools and techniques, this workshop will be a great stepping stone. Who knows, you might love it and eventually build a career on it. 🙂
I just love the ambiance and lighting of the studio.
The final look, black and blue smokey eye makeup.

Ms. Leah and I after the workshop.
Look at how pretty her makeup is even after the workshop. I still have a lot to learn. 🙂
Sorry about the hair. I was in a hurry to catch a movie. 🙂
Thank you, Ms. Leah for the very informative workshop.
Here are some of her works.
