Last Wednesday, I was invited to the branch opening of Tous les Jours and the launching of some of their new products. Their 12th branch is located at SM Jazz Mall in Makati just across Mapua Institute of Technology. I honestly think their location is a great advantage.. we all know how college students love to eat after a tiring day at school. 😉
A little background about the brand. Tous les Jours is a French‐Asian Bakery serving a unique selection of bakery goods and beverages made with the highest quality ingredients. It is the FIRST MASTER franchise bakery brand created and developed by CJ Foodville Co., Ltd., for the purpose of GLOBAL business extension. Established in 1996, Tous les Jours is a leading chain in the food industry’s premium cafe bakery segment.

TLJ counter have this old-school, very conservative feel. It’s very neat and simple. I think the minimalist board menu pulls the look together. Plus, I love how spacious the store is compared to their SM Southmall branch.
TLJ takes pride on their home‐made style bread using natural fermentation and the fact that their breads and cakes have no artificial flavoring or coloring and no UHT milk used; only the freshest possible ingredients. So they’re both healthy and delicious!
They’re is known for their creative and very detailed cakes. But because of the shiny golden glaze, even the breads look too good to eat!
Premium Macarons. Experience the ultimate parisian confectionery made with high quality ingredients. 5 flavors to choose from: Grape, Korean Maple, Blueberry, Green Apple and Korean Cherry. I brought home a pack of this and gave some to my younger sister. The sound of my laughter literally echoed in the living room when she described it as “heaven”.
Mocha Crunch Cake. Light and moist mocha sponge cake filled with rich mocha butter cream and topped with espresso syrup.
Kiss Strawberry Cake. Strawberry cream cake covered with natural dried strawberries. one of the best-selling cake in Korea. I don’t eat anything that’s strawberry-flavored but this one looks really tempting. I’m sure le BF would love this. 🙂
Chocolate Forest. Light and moist belgian chocolate sponge cake filled with premium chocolate butter cream and topped with rich chocolate shavings
Strawberry Inspiration. Filled with hand-picked strawberries from Korea. Perfect balance of strawberries and fresh yogurt cream icing topped with natural strawberry powder.
Dark Glaze Chocolate Cake. Belgian chocolate cake layered with rich chocolate buttercream and topped with a layer of chocolate ganache.
Celebrity Guest, Daiana Menezes modelling a Mango Dream Cake, the perfect balance of sweet fresh mangoes and butterless fresh cream icing. Simply a mango lover’s dream!
Now for the cake-making demonstration. Sir Pete, the only Korean I know who can sing Pusong Bato (so cute!), and his assistant, Ms. Daiana Menezes. For the event, they created a rose-inspired cake.
Ahhh.. everything is just so detailed and precise. Even the droplets of dew in the morning is taken into consideration in making the rose cake to make it look more vibrant and realistic. Indeed, a lot of creativity and effort goes into every piece of cake they make.

The event wasn’t only for the branch opening. TLJ was also launching a couple of new stuff.
Waffles! Amazingly Delicious Waffles made fresh with the Best Ingredients available. In flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry and Blueberry. I ate quite a lot of waffles during the event. My personal favorite would have to be the chocolate waffle just because the chocolates inside is melted and isn’t too sweet. It goes well with the crunchy outside and chewy insides of the waffle. Even when left for awhile, the waffle doesn’t go soggy which I like because I really do take my time when I eat.
Patisserie Connoisseur Card! This is Tour les Jours’ way of thanking their loyal customer. For every P500 single receipt food purchase, this entitles you for a FREE Patisserie Connoisseur membership card. I give the holder 2% rebate with a minimum purchase worth Php 100. The Tous les Jours’ Patisserie Connoisseur membership card is open to all.

How’s that for a food post, eh? I know everything looks so yummy but try not to drool over your keyboard. LOL! This post is making me hungry too. Oh well, might as well rummage our refrigerator for something to eat. 😉
